i bought Constellations 3 times. And i have every other song they have on all albums. they are sick man. i do think Jake is better than Josh just because he has more emotion, more of a range. Josh didnt really change much, he kept the same choke sounding consistency. but ABR forever man. My ipod count for Back Breaker so far is 2,080 and still going strong...

Did you know they have the drummer from Demon Hunter now? He's still in Demon Hunter too. I actually got to talk to them down at Creation Fest. The lead singer and drummer were running their own merch table, and we just stood around and chilled with them for a while before their show. They're pretty chill dudes.

oh wow THE SHOWDOWN has DH's drummer? i think they lost a guitar player and 2 drummers, if thats true. Yeah i think the singers name is david? hes frikin awesome. all his blogs are super funny. them joking on tour and stuff. DH and Showdown and ABR...all super sick bands. I saw ABR Impending Doom Acacia Strain and MCMB live last month. INSANE BRUTAL

Niiice. Hah. I saw ABR with Blessthefall, Enter Shikari, and iwrestledabearonce. That was a great show.

And yeah. The Showdown's last drummer was also in Still Remains. And now he's in a working project with Still Remains' singer happening right here in my home town of Grand Rapids. The other members are former members of some other local bands. I'm pretty stoked to see what they produce.

Oh and more recently I saw August Burns Red again with Emery and UnderOath. ABR was freaking epic. His voice has gotten even lower since the last album. Like wow.

And they did this thing during the breakdowns that was like... just a big boom. And it would shake the whole place.

And my friend got thrown 8 feet in the air. It was bloody amazing.

exactly what i though of the new album, was kinda a mix of Thrill Seeker and Messengers, good thing the new one did not sound as monotonous as Messengers

but Thrill Seeker is still by far their best work

im gonna have to disagree. the new album was a bit of a dissapointment. their breakdowns in this one are no longer technical and theyre washed out by back up guitars that just ruin it.

I see where your coming from (i said the same thing at first) however they even said themselves in this album they are going for more musicality and less breakdowns. It was kind of a disappointment for me that they haven't used as many odd-metre rhythms etc. but they just weren't going for the same thing in this album.

Honestly I would have been pretty bummed if they're new album was just "messengers-2"

I agree 100%. Love the new album Fav songs are Marians Trench, Meridian, White Washed. The album is more....melodic.

i thought it was good. BUT.... nothing can beat thrill seeker. messengers is so boring and thrill seeker is just epic. constellations is an "ok" album.... i guess i just cant get over thrill seeker

Actually take some time to listen to the guitar work, there are reflections of Thrill Seeker on Constellations. Especially check out Rationalist and The Escape Artist. I can hear elements from Endorphins in them :P
