I had this tv, i didn't like it to much. I mean the picture was good but the sound is not. Plus the speakers would go out at random. I bought a Bravia 46in to replace it but the funny part of that is that the bravia had speaker problems also so WTF! At least the picture is fantastic!
just bought a Philips 55" 240hz for1299$, the image sucked big time compared to my new Sony Bravia 55" 120Hz.. Huge difference for 400$ more. Philips should stick w razors and light bulbs.
You can buy 52" 120hz at SamsClub for $1400.00. Amazing deal. I had it for two yars now and never had an issue. It always amazes me. People come to my house and can't believe the picture. I will upload Assasins creed 2 playing on it and some more blu ray videos.
Congratullations!! i saw this lcd today is simply amaizing!!....you can see clearly the natural motion ...sony and samsung are good but this philips is THE BEST.
almost buy this TV when i see the Sony Bravia and compare this w/ it side by side, Sony Bravia has the better picture and more clearer, so i bought the Sony Bravia instead.
this Philip HDTV is good, but Sony Bravia & Samsung are top notch and nothing is better than those two.
hey mate looks like u know about that!, look i have a question for ya my father wants to buy the sony bravia XBR6 46 inches is that LCD looks great with the playstation blu-ray movies?
This is partly true. Sony is good and Samsung is good, but there is no TV out there right now that compares to the clarity and natural motion effect of this TV. This might as well be called 4K. You have to see it in person playing a bluray. It is beyond HD. After many months of research I decided on this and I am a big videophile. Picture comes to life. Must see to appreciate.
does it judders or bluring sometimes when paying a bluray movie?

Philips LCDs are usually lacking a bit in black levels... : P
Otherwise, they are rather OK for the price.

i don't really know, but i did a lot of searching befor ei bought mine.
and YES, Samsung and Sony always beat every brand in the market.
if u search on the net, u'll see Samsung and Sony always rate top.
Phillip was discontinue so u know it can't compete w/ Sony or Samsung. and the reason why it was discontinue was because its no good.
Sony will make OED TV in the future, LED also make by Samsung, but they are expensive, so LCD HDTV for now.
yes, u just need to buy a Samsung or Sony Bravia.
