This version of A Heart in New York was from the SImon & Garfunkel free concert in Central Park NYC On September 19th 1981. I was there and remember it was not a great day out kind of cool but the rain had held off and during the show the clouds parted and sun came out before setting,. The actual song is from Art Garunkel's 1980 Siccors Cut solo album. The song is also a minute longer with another verse and instrumental solo.
They stopped the concerts for several reasons: the grass was destroyed and it cost a lot of money and time to reseed the lawn, there were some people who got hurt, it cost a lot of money to have all those extra police on duty, and it cost a lot to clean up after the concerts. There were also several concerts that had to be cancelled or delayed due to rain (Diana Ross continued into a thunder storm once, but it's hazardous, and again the city loses money). These were FREE concerts!

@DonnyMarksPa They used to have some really good free concerts in Central Park years ago... The Beach Boys, Elton, S & Garfunkel, Garth Brooks, etc... Then the folks around the park complained about the crowds, noise, etc.. And since these were some of the richest and well connected people in the world complaining, the concerts stopped.
I miss these times and I miss the future...
