what atv is more dependable im kinda stuck on deiciding on a grizzly with itp rims and tires or a honda rincon with itp rims and tires there both for sale idk what one to get, what one is more dependable? could you give me a tip on what one to get?
@midwesternoutdoors If you're asking us you must not have watched the reviews ;-) We think that the Rincon has a 'silly' 3-speed transmission and no low range. And no locker!
@xXzeTaco49Xx Both are great machines. Engine is better in the BF. Tranny better in the Griz. 4wd systems are both great. Tough decision......You won't go wrong with either.
@ATVTVCOM Lucky me than because I am nieghbours with the kawi,Yami and suzuki dealership (all in one building) so I should be able to test drive them soon!
@hiimdrummer03 I think it's the same as the Yamaha and Kawasaki. Unless you are riding ONLY mud, that is way too much tire. It will not only rob power but harm the drivetrain - wearing out CV joints, brakes, and bearings.
@ATVTVCOM How do you figure its way too much power? I have had 589s Mudlites and Mudrunners.I feel that the muddrunners have done best for me all around riding. How do you feel they will rob power as oppose to the other tires available or that i have rode on alreay?
@hiimdrummer03 I'm a big fan of how radials improve the steering precision and handling of an ATV, so look at the MudLite XTR, Maxxis Ceros, STI Blackwater, or ITP Terra Cross.
@hiimdrummer03 I think you are right. I was thinking of the weight of the regular MudLites. I just remember the Mudrunners as being a very heavy and stiff tire. We haven't tested them lately though.
@hiimdrummer03 We have never had a problem with any of our tests units, and considering it's Japanese quality I'd assume it's as bullet-proof as the rest of the machine. Remember we worried about EFI when it came out, or electric lockers?!
To me - it's worth it. An invisible increase in turning leverage and most noticeable reduction in kickback through the bars. Especially helpful if you upgrade to more aggressive tires (which you should at least be putting radials on!) and in rough terrain.
I have a 2011 polaris 500 ho and have had nothing but problems, cv joint, axle, ball joint, gas tank wouldn't work right etc....... so im considering getting a new grizzly 700 w/ eps, is it a tough reliable machine and would you reccomend it????
@SUPERSPARTA41 The Grizzly, especially if you will be hunting. Although the Raptor is a great machine, the Grizzly has racks and more load carrying capacity that make it better for hunting. Plus, it's more likely to make it to and from where you'll be hunting without getting stuck because it's 4wd.
With the 4wd, bigger tires, and higher ground clearance, you'll be able to ride a wider variety of trails with the Grizzly than you can with the Raptor.
@luxus51 Fuel consumption can vary so much on how and where you ride. We've gotten everything from around 15 to almost 30 mpg. As they say, your mileage may vary ;-)
@ATVTVCOM On a full tank of gas how many miles do you get befor refilling again? I know it can change do to the area you ride in and how hard you push it but what the best on the gas miles?
@ATVTVCOM no not all the time mabe on the road but when your in a mudy field and your back tires are spinning faster then the front and you engage it it pops and buts alot of stress on the CB joints
@ATVTVCOM are you sure? On my 550 I just bought I was reading the owner's manual (so sue me, I'm a guy who reads the instructions!) and it says to always have the ATV stopped when you engage 4WD or when you lock the front dif
@THizzle80 They suggest that you stop, but that's to keep people from switching into 4wd or 'trying' to lock the front differential while under power - spinning the tires power!
I have a 2008 grizzly 700 and am looking for a new atv. Im thinking of either the king quad 750 with power steering of the can am 800r or another grizzly with power steering. Any suggestions?
@kishens My choices would be either the KQ with EPS or the Griz with EPS. I prefer the King Quad simply because of a couple small items - the engine is smoother, the transmission is a bit taller geared, it has no park position in the tranny and it does have an emergency brake....
@ATVTVCOM In response to your reply to kishens, one reason I prefer the Grizz is the lower gearing. It helps when rock crawling and takes some stress off the belt. And when you combine the extra .8" of ground clearance + Wide Arc A-arms + less front/rear overhang, the Grizz has the advantage in the rough. Plus, I belong to 3 different ATV forum sites. In researching what actual owners say, the KQ seems to have a few more issues, while the Grizz seems to have no glaring faults.
@hondaboytrx Oh my! Why the loud pipes? All that will do is irritate every non-ATVer for miles around and eventually close down the area where you ride!!!
yeah they do a good job of cloneing atvs. they make it look like it on the outside but when you take them apart they are made with junk parts . everything looks the same the spedo the 4 wheel butions . it just dont say yahama on them like the grizzlys say . just thought i might share that it kind of puzzled me when i saw one . and the funney thing about it is it just as evpensive as the grizzly who in the world would take that chance of it being junk lol .
i heard Qlink rodeo 700 is the same thing as this and qlink clamis there made in china i have checked into this it its true they have the same moter and everything
@stephshane1 You got me! I guess we'll have to look into it as well. Like many of the Chinese companies they probably tore apart an old Grizzly and then copied it - as best they could ;-) Trust me, it won't be the same......
@ATVTVCOM haha very true. I am so ready for an upgrade though and really think the grizzly in camo would be perfect for working around my farm. The old Bruin 350 struggles a little these days. And power steering doesn't sound bad for pulling around a manue spreader all day!
@daxoo2 Okay, maybe I answered it and then deleted it before it got on the internet. So many questions sometimes I get confused ;-) A diff lock locks the front differential so that both front tires turn at the same speed. That way all four wheels turn no matter what. This gives you a lot more traction but harder steering and turning (that's why they can be undone).
what do you expect when your country has another country make what you want they are going to do it there own way so dont complain because america outsources
nice quads but ive seen several times the right rear axle spline pop out of the rear diff - while climbing the steepest rocky stuff in low range - spline circlip problem -- and the low range is not low enough -- the 660 could go slower
does this monster have a pull start?? because my friend had a 500 polaris and wen we flipped it it wudnt start with the electric start. so we had to use the pull.
Watch the reviews! The XP is a very good machine and has some very strong points. BUT, I don't like the single lever braking that much, nor the 4wd system, and most especially how the engine braking goes to the rear wheels only unless you use ADC - which only works under 15mph and with no throttle applied.
More power. Great handling. Wonderful 5wd system. Has a parking brake and great brakes. No EPS though. And remember, I never compare any of these with stock tires. They all need BETTER, RADIAL tires like ACTs.
If you're confused it's understandable! Until the King came out with EPS its front geometry made riding it far less desirable than the Griz with EPS. Both with EPS I prefer the factors of the King that I highlighted below.

Wow, that's a loaded question! As I always say, there is so much personal preference to that decision. YOu can get a full list of ATV favorites by class on the FAQ page of our website, but 'my' favorite of what you mentioned is the KQ 750 EPS (only with EPS as that changes the front geometry to a much better lay-back). It has the smoothest engine, high-geared trans for low-rpm running, great engine braking, and 2-lever brakes, no park position, and a great 4wd system with all the options.
they said the grey button on the left side is for full power while front diff is locked, i thought it was for full power in reverse, was that a mistake or is that just the way yamaha is ive been wanting a grizzly but i dont think i like that i dont want to have to hold a button the whole time in thick mudd. in your opinion which out of these bikes would you choose?artic cat 700,grizzly 700,suzuki-king quad750.I would really appeciate any input you have.
why have 3 wheels spinning and then u have to stop.....WAIT...then push ANOTHER button for the 4th wheel to kick in?? so much waiting..why not just have all 4 wheels spin without the waiting..like polaris.....if we went trail riding together, i would be 1 mile in head of u!
We much prefer making the traction decisions - not the ATV. Kinda like the brakes too. Why have control for front and rear braking - it's just too complicated. Unless you prefer 'controlling' the situation. We do.
@ATVTVCOM This is the same way of thinking i do, I would much rather control the brakes and traction my self than the atv. which is why i am getting a Yamaha, Polaris is prolly suited to people who dont want the control. I think Polaris needs to go on a diet too, way to heavy if your by yourself and need to get unstuck
Well put. There's nothing really wrong with Polaris' system, I just prefer the additional control. And yes, they are heavy, but they also have more 'weighty' items on them like better tires, bigger batteries, heavier skid plates.
