This is such a shit video. I can honestly say that I am a snob about cosplay when it comes to what I'M wearing, but I don't shit on others because they don't have perfect cosplays. Not everyone has the extra money to put together flawless costumes. But like others have said, some of these were actually really well done.
You need to grow up. Cosplaying is about having fun, getting together, and celebrating what we love. It isn't about judging others.

Honestly, there are a lot of good cosplays here but you're basing it off of the fact that the people are bigger. I disagree with your opinion of bad. Not saying that there aren't bad cosplays in here, because there are, but I saw quite a few good ones worn by bigger ppl, and that does not make the cosplay itself bad.

Cosplay is about having fun and showing your love for the character you are playing. People should not be judged this way! It is NOT important to always look as close to the character as possible! It is about having fun! This is mean.
What don't geekys understand about a good cosplay. A good cosplay means looking as close to the character of choosing as possible and when your this obese it doesn't look good when modeling a character who's in shape.
You apparently don't really know much about cosplay. Some of those costumes were very well done. You're also highlighting some costumes that were obviously meant to be ironic or funny. Fail.
@ringwraith10 20% of these at best were being funny. The rest were actually dressing up in order to impersonate their favorite manga characters. And like many Americans, they failed. Why do so many people defend cosplay? It really is ridiculous when it's half assed.

I don't think it's a weight thing so much as it's kind of creepy and disturbing to see a chubby dude with a beard cosplaying as a cute female anime character. Young girl who may be on the hefty side trying to cosplay Yuna from FFX; that's okay if she does a good job. 40 year old dude who hasn't shaved in a year trying to do the same: truly disturbing and an example of "just because you can doesn't mean you should."
