@DoubleTapShooting 3/8" (.375) inch plate can take magnum .30 Cal center fire (.338 Lapua) rifle shots at 50 yards without severe stress to the plate/target and 100 yards for sustained use. If you want to shoot .50 cal BMG we have 1/2" (.500) inch plate. We DO-NOT recommend steel core ammo on steel plate, handgun or rifle due to the unpredictable splatter pattern of steel ammo, see website, Thanks for watching friend.
