muy buen video hay alguna manera de ponerme en contacto con este sensei!? soy de argentina y hago ju jitsu japones y karate y me gustaria estudiar quamtun para poder enseñarlo en mi pais
@helljumper301 He's cool, but not fast, I have eight years of training in boxing (four days a week, two hours per day), this guy can not see my hand when I hit.
He's gots really nice techniques. His techniques are also very clean and precise. That kind of skill takes years of practice. He's the MAN! It must really hurt if applied on concrete floor.
Great to watch, a little bit too flashy and or borderline impractical for on the concrete street scenerios for my taste. Definitely I pitty any fellow on the receiving end of those extreme techniques. Continue to showcase your dynamic style of jujitsu Shihan Corbell,
this guy has some sick move's ,but i guess i would need to see an actual fight a real street fight or myabe try something like that on a ufc guy .now that would be awsome
That was good as a demo but he did have a very compliant uke and what was with all the jumping about if he did that put side on the concreate he would be just as F****ED AS THE OPPONENT why not just a nice little o soto otishi and break the ukes back
while Quantum Jujitsu may be very good looking, you probably have to have an extremely high level of skill to use it effectively in a fight. A moderately quick opponent could avoid the long, complex movements involved in the takedowns.
no stances, the guy is letting him throw him around by holding his hand out for him. Jujitsu only works if someone is out of stance, once someone is in a strong stance jujitsu wont work plz people i have herd it a thousand times (all fights end up on the ground) yer maby for you. Ground fighting is useless against some one who can defend them selves
@reubencheese man i do jiu jitsu and believe me tthe strong are your guard the harder you hit the ground and this was ha demo so he dont use any stance.
umm, people are tapping out and he still doesn't let them go!, as much as I appreciate his skill level, he needs to keep true to the spirit of martial arts!
i dont think doing grappling in a street fight is smart, especially since now days u fight with more than one guy... imagine being on the ground agaisnt 2 guys....
CarboneraCarlos i agree, all these people saying it's nothing in a real fight, I'd like to see you in a fight with a ANY sensei, 'cos do you honestly think he'd be the one on the floor!?
I have to say that the amount of comments from people that don't know what they are talking about makes me laugh. If they spent any time in a dojo learning an ART, they might be able to grasp what this Sensei was doing. Rather they fall back on their low IQ and flash backs of the last UFC they watched and think this will never work. Well, it is an ART and not for just the street thug.
This video is really cool, no other arts are superior, and they debated that for a long time, even nowadays, that's so stupid. everything depends on the fighter, it's true that some art can have more chance to defeat others, but at last, it depends on the fighter. Whoever don't believe me, I don't care...
I wonder if anyone actually visited the website to get a better idea of what this is about rather than just creating an opinion based on 1 minute of footage...
Guys roll and jump and walk around because they are protecting themselves from the trick. I f they didn't roll or jump or walk they would be hurt. A wrist lock doesn't flip a guy, it breaks his wrist.
I've had MMA sparring matches where I've applied a lot of moves like this. I've actually done a variation of the flying armbar that's demonstrated in this video (0:10secs), as well as the "jumping circle throw" (0:26secs).
For all you dumbasses out there this is a demonstration to showcase the skills of this school. if you're too stupid to know WHAT A DEMONSTRATION IS i wont bother to explain it. jujitsu focuses on grappling. a man who is skilled in the art of grappling is a man who CAN and WILL kick your ass in a sparring match or, if you prefer, a street fight.
In my opinion I dont think a real street fight would be something like * an enemy would simply offer his hand to you just like that so you can grab it and do a fancy technique. He would be struggling so hard even if he has to pop your eyes out with his fingers.I think The best and most realistic street fighting would be Kick-Boxing ( whether its Muai Thai or Sanda or any other styles of kick-boxing) and also Brazillian Ju-Jitsu ( ground-fighting ).
how about you put yourself infront of this man and tell him that you are prepared to take him on in a street fight? do you think you can beat him you cocksucker?
What's with the name calling. Too many variables for someone to answer your question without sounding arrogant. Perhaps they are...who know's. However...the climbing techniques I wouldn't consider to be practical on the street. Just my .02
HOLY SHIT those are really useful, I'll remember to try those next time I get in a fight and my attacker throws a punch and then sits there motionless for 5 seconds while I twirl around in a convoluted matter and then slingshot him into oblivion. awesome.
holy shit man i know he wouldnt hit half of these moves in a real fight but jesus christ does it look kool, plus u never know peaple have won by flyying arm bars and shit like this
It's called a demonstration, students volunteer for these kinds of things. Congratulations on lowering the i.q. average of youtube commenters another 30 points.
This guy doesn't even have very good form. This video just shows us how one can use points on another person to move that person... And he does it by jumping and twisting. I guess it is cool, I just find it sloppy.
I agree with most of the comments below. Very fancy, but you can tell that at least a couple of the participants are prepared for what is coming. Remind me to post a video of my friends accepting my punches in the near future.
WTF. That wasn't Jujitsu. IT was a rip off of Aikido mixed with Jujitsu. Plus most of the stuff isn't practical because it relies solely on strength and body weight.
Actually.. In all juijitsu classes or Aikido classes your trained on how it is NOT about body weight or strength when flipping someone etc. The person performing the move uses little to know brute strength and merely manipulates the enemy's strength/weight.
These things are only taken advantage of when for example the opponent is extremley strong or heavy. Both martial art styles use your enemy's weight/strength against them.
There are a lot of reasons for demos, like promoting your school. Schools are a business and sometimes the grappling drills and repetitive striking practice don't make for exciting recruiting tools. A video like this is more likely to get new students in the doors where good schools will then teach legitimate techniques. While a lot of these techniques shown in the video are more about flash, I have managed to land a couple of flying armbars in my life but only in sparring...
I admire the agility and strength. Practicality is there, just not all in the moves. Look for locks from all positions; getting there is only half of it.
