As an owner of a firework stand, try to clean up your display. I cant tell where things start and end. But great looking stuff. Anything from World Class Fireworks?
In Montana you can only buy fireworks from June 24-July 5 and December 29, 30, and 31. Bottle Rockets, Stick Rockets and Roman Candles are illegal but that doesn't mean that people don't obtain them. There are reservations in Montana where you can get "the good stuff" or so I'm told. I have never bought fireworks from a reservation but would love to see what they have.
even tho all those fireworks were overpriced I wish we had stuff like that in washington... in montana or where ever that stand was can u buy year-round?
@JayIvory87 Prices might be part of the problem. If your part of a franchise like TNT (which this stand is definitely not just by the looks) or whatever your hands are tied. There's nothing you can do about the prices. However if you go it alone and find a good (cheap) supplier you can adjust the prices low enough and still turn a good profit.
@Bbfishman Lots of fireworks stands are roadside stands. Whats wrong with that? Tent displays and trailers where the customer can walk in are both illegal in Montana. The trailer situation didn't kick into effect until 1997. I've never been to a tent display. My family and I run a roadside display in a converted old camp trailer that we gutted and rebuilt. It was the best $20 (for the whole trailer) that I've ever spent.
I refused to be part of a franchise where I had no control of the prices and there was a stand/prices/inventory just like mine everywhere you went. You always hear people's sales pitch saying "they have the lowest prices in town and that they won't be under sold. Bullshit. You shop all over the town that our stand is in and our prices will blow you away (no pun intended). We don't have to advertise like that we let our prices do the talking. We have gained loyal customers these past two years.
Our first year we had a group of geologists in town from Georgia. Apparently artilleru shells/mortars are illegal in Georgia. These college guys wiped us out. I don't remember how many days we had left but I was wishing we had more shells. Am I complaining? Hell no, those were excellent sells for us and it was our first time. Chances are if your a firework lover as a kid you'll eventually end up selling them. My brother and I were always told (by people in the stands) we should be selling them.
Even the smoke balls are overpriced....
