That just perfectly captures the story of the Doctor for this episode, the juxtaposition of John Smith and everything that the Doctor had done in the past, especially haunting is how it comes to 'a holiday' and then the battle sequence...very moving, excellent song choice.
Oh this is a nice video :-) How did i miss this one... :-O Particularly love the bit where everything in the book comes to life and Joan saying he was braver that you... *sobs uncontrolably/ mourns for John Smith*
This has always been my favorite song by Guster. It is magical, and it makes me think about so many things in life. I have no idea what Doctor Who is...but I find myself mesmurized by John Smith's life because of this video. This is absolutely amazing.
When an everlasting Time Lord, a being that exists outside of time and space and is a hareld of wonder and ruin.. when he makes himself a human body and mind in an effort to foil a family of hunters, what he becomes is John Smith. The man who lives in the heart of a god.
Really well done. I liked the "ancient and forever" speech; the clips went really well with the words. I also liked the voiceover of Joan holding the journal.
That was a really cool video! I love how you have taken recent clips and combined them with old ones, Your so clever! Please may i ask where you got the clips from and could you reply to me on my profile page? I would be ever so grateful! Thank you!
I also just wanted to say I think it's completely horrible that you put those last few clips of John Smith/Joan in black & white, as if to say they've just been added to the long list of the Doctor's memories, that nothing good ever lasts for him, etc. Absolutely horrible! Good job.;)
This is so sad. :-( Which is to say, it's awesome! And the audio layering is pretty impressive; how did you get it to sound so good? It doesn't sound like you did it the way I did it.

I loved the character John Smith. I know he techincally is the Doctor, but I'm glad someone made a vid about him instead of the Doc.

Glad you liked it! I've gotten really obsessed with Guster lately and thought the dearth of Guster/Doctor Who vids was quite tragic. :-)
