Haha I cut mine off to but only for about 30 min. Mines sounded exactly the same! (2004 4.3L silverado). I'm about to upload a video with my current flowmaster, check it out.
@Domman56 I put on a "Delta force one chamber race muffler", It kind of resembles a 40 series. Nothing will sound as good as dumped mufflers, it gives it that deeper rumble. What did you end up putting on your GMC?
i would agree if i hadn't driven this truck, it's only got a K&N filter in it and a flowmaster exhaust with turndowns at the rear axle and we ran against a buddy's lifted 5.3 silverado and took it from a dig It surprised the hell outta me
@SilverGecko1 I respectfully disagree with you. I do agree that the weight difference is a major factor. A 88-98 1/2 Ton shortbox would be the only truck i would defend in this statement. Having owned 2 S10s, one tbi and a C-1500 Tbi, the performance results are negligible considering there class.
it's not mine it's my friends and he got a flowmaster 40 series on it the next day this was just a one day thing It sounds Aloot beetter with the flowmaster on it

@weewoodeal i would still rather have an 8 even though the performance is close to the same but i would also prefer an 8 in an S10.. :)

@SilverGecko1 Haha yeah i gotta agree with you on that but this is my buddy's truck and i can still admit it runs GREAT and really strong for a 6
