  • Did the detective had the "hair of an Idiot"?

  • DR WHO is the MAN!!!

  • He seems to have toned down his "r"-rolling in this clip *grumpy face*!

Still very THUD-worthy though, as always DT!

    ;-)

  • Aww, he must write his own lines the US doesn't have a National Health Service.

If anyone else made that mistake I would make fun of them. But it just endears DT to me even more!

  • The craggy WHAT?? Oh my gosh I love his accent lol :D

  • the craggy moor

  • I LOVE YOU DAVID

  • just passing by to drool...........again!

  • i pass by myself again too... just to drool again. hahah

  • i think we all could. that would actually be hotter than the phonebook... ooohhh phonebuuk *THUD*

  • he looks lovely in black, beautiful man.

  • GORGEOUS MAN!

  • From viewers like yuu... I love how he says that. *giggle*

  • I just love DT. I'm so glad he's connected to something American. Thank you for letting us borrow him, UK. Would that he'd stay here but I think his loyalties are to home and hearth (as is right)...

... 'sides, it gives me a reason to make a trip to the UK... to see David Tennant. He's such a doll...

  • He's doing a pilot for an NBC series. Search for Rex is Not Your Lawyer and David Tennant's name and you can find out about it.

  • Yes, I do like the way he says Thank You in that.

  • @aliasabcfreak You'll have to try to win him in a catfight with Georgia. No ideas, just letting you know.

  • DT could recite any phone book of his choosing from anywhere in the world - and I'd pay good USD to sit and listen to him.

The same could be said for Patrick Stewart, James Earl Jones, and Yul Brynner (would that he were still with us), among others.

    "Murrrderr" indeed. ;)

  • Haa!!! That's so true!

  • Watching a gorgeous slim Scottish man roll his 'R's and saying "Murrrderr" at midnight right before going to sleep is a dangerous thing. ;)

  • hahahaaa, and the word 'murder' returns!!! :D

  • i was just going to watch Tennant but stuff they pick to show is really good. i can't wait for the next part!!! PBS rocks! <3

  • That entangles two Guwd people....

I actually watched this episode. It was pretty good.

  • Yeah, I watched the episode as well. I quite enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to seeing Part 2 next week.

Contrary to the belief of some, I did actually like Masterpiece Contemporary before David was the host. I like the programme itself. It's just a bonus that David is hosting this year. :-)

  • mmm nice :D

  • Gawd. cud listen all day.

  • is it me or does this vid have more R's than i've ever heard in one sitting?

    JEEZUZ!!! *SWOON*

  • Don't you just love the way he says murder, rolling all his r's. I love his Scottish burr! :-)

  • That´s exactly what I thought XD

  • GAWD I love that accent.... he just makes stuff sound awesome... he could make Eastenders sound awesome if he described the plot........ :swoon:

  • Oh! Yes, he certainly could ! I could listen to him narrate things for hours and hours! :-)

His Scottish burr defintiely makes me swoon. :-)

  • It isn't a 'burr'. It's an accent. FYI, speaking as a fellow Celt; we really don't like being condescended to.

  • Whoa...sorry! I seem to be offending a lot of people today...no harm done....I apologize..... Geez, I think I'll keep my bloody comments to myself....

I was always told it was a Scottish Burr.... but there you go....learn something new everyday, eh?

  • It's not specifically you. But I do find it an irritant when I read people referring to his - and incidentally my - accent as if he is an infant who has just learned to talk (ahhh, bless!) David Tennant's is actually a pretty cultured Scots accent, and his spoken English is more correct than most.

'Burr' refers specifically to the alveolar rolling 'rrrrhhhhhrrrr' - found in very strong lowland Scots dialect. Certainly not how he pronounces his r's.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the useful information. I won't make the same mistake again. And yes, I agree he does have a wonderful command of the English language.

He is definitely very cultured when he speaks. Sorry, again, If I offended you, and him....

  • WOAH!!

uh... yeah. i won't say anything. just glad you both stopped by to watch =)

  • Murder...... he just.... :swoon:

  • Love it thank you!

  • "wind-swept town on the craggy moors".... *thud*

  • Seconded.

  • do yourself a favor and watch it in HQ... it's bigger! XD

  • Thanks for this, but now of course, now I want to watch the programme as well!!

  • Thank you!!!

  • Sh*t! ...and *I* uploaded it, LOL!

    *THUD*

  • Agreed :P
