@noirkitten, I totally disagree with you. Part of the horror of this scene is that it's a child seeing it. Imagine what it would do to a child in real life to see something like this. That's what I like about this movie. It's not just about introducing a bunch of characters so there can be lots of cool and ever more bizarre kill scenes. It tries to disturb the audience beyond the level of blood and gore. Not that those are bad. (I *am* a horror fan.) But I can appreciate something different.

I just don't see how this can be made before Freddy VS Jason, because it exposes both universes as being film. So is this Freddy the one fighting jason? Is Freddy VS Jason a movie in Heather Langenkamp's world? Is it a true sequel to Freddy's Dead? I just want to know.
