  • in this world there are 2 kinds of people, and 123 people are diggers

  • The suspense is killing me. I could not bear it any longer, so I went to bed.

  • best movie of all time

  • That is one badass outfit Blondie's wearing.

  • That's a fairly decent stunt just as Blondie tosses the shovel toward Tuco's head! They don't do stuff like that these days.

  • @flipwiggins I meant just as Angle Eyes tossed the shovel....

  • Here's a question: was Angel Eyes really going to split the $200k with Clint to begin with? Or would he have had his henchmen kill Clint as soon as they found the grave? Obviously, Tuco was too greedy to share and would have killed Clint if he could have. I don't blame Clint for leaving Tuco as he did. Here's a thought: why not share it three ways? That was still a lot of money in the 1860s. I guess we wouldn't have that great standoff if they'd had shared.

  • 122 PEOPLE LIKE DISASTER MOVIE!!!

  • make a sequel-I have 122 doubters to prove wrong

  • I first saw this movie about a year ago, and one of the reasons it became one of my favorite movies is the sheer amount of grip it has over the audience. This scene in particular epitomizes that aspect. We spend the whole movie leading up to this point with the three main characters, getting to know them so well, and only now that we've come to know them as such, we get the impression that only one of them will be walking out alive. This scene was so gripping, I can't even describe the feeling.

  • @TehMountainMan There's also the music. My God, listen to this. If you hadn't fully lost all awareness for anything but the movie before it kicked in, then 3:27 did you in; I swear, every time since the first time I saw it, I get a big, jolly grin whenever I get to that part.

  • I don't think this movie needs to be remade, but you can make a movie in the same vein as this one. The Man with No Name can live on if done right. It has to have this movie's flavor though, humor, cruelty, greed and human compassion all rolled into gun fight.

  • Man...I'd like to see this on a giant screen as it was meant to be.

  • lol

  • The 122 dislikers were angel eyes fans.

  • there are two kinds of people in this world....this who like this video...and those who dig.

  • 122 people dont have sunshine in a bag

  • If they remade this movie it would be AWESOME!!!!

  • @LSDsniiper shut the fuck up

  • @LSDsniiper remakes usually suck so probably not

  • Comment removed

  • 122 pple are DIGGING!!!

  • This scene never gets old.

  • Real men.

  • If they remake this movie, they should replace the song with Adele - Set Fire to the Rain

  • @Barsabus but if they did that than the movie would be bad

  • This video has 2.4 million views. One million of them are probably mine.

  • The music box sound is the same as the watch music in the final duel from For A Few Dollars More.

  • @inj3cti0n There are several themes in the Il triello that reference "Fist Full of Dollars" and "For A Few Dollars More." There is no better ending theme.

  • Hollywood 1967...when men played real men.

  • This one scene...so chok full of epicness!

  • They don't make 'em like this anymore. Cinematic gold

  • best horn solo in movie history!!

  • is anyone else completely flabber gassed about how crazy the picture quality in this film is? it was made in the 60s

  • Why can't we have any good movies like this anymore?

  • @crazyowenproductions Because no one has the patience for depth, substance or character development. Society just wants sex, explosions and special effects. Watch this whole movie. We see all three characters (and other minor ones) shine in their own way. We become sympathetic to some and not so much toward others. If this movie came out now, it would be just another 90-minute montage of explosions, cheesy one-liners and slutty women who just happened to be there.

  • this is the movie that reminds of when i used to be with my dad

  • 6:08 anybody else notice that Angel Eyes is missing part of his middle finger?

  • @JoseCuervo200 I know why my moms family was friends with his family he lost it making a toy house for his little girl I never seen him but my mom have one time but mostly my moms dad

  • this.......is.......EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just got this movie on blu ray. it's like sex.

  • When men were still men.

  • I have noticed tehemuffins point before but never checked.

it seems tuco shoots angel eyes first, and then when it doesnt go he keeps trying to fire it.

that doesnt mean he wouldnt shoot blondie 2nd.

  • Am I the only one that thinks that this scene is good, but not great, without Ennio's score? It's classic and perfect. A masterpiece.

  • @Loiyaboy The music was written and recorded first, then the scene was done with this music in mind. Similarly, Morricone first wrote the score for the great Once Upon a Time in the West, then Sergio Leone shot the movie with the score in mind (indeed, while playing it on set during the scenes.) A truly operatic method.

  • @Jitpring Thanks for the info. That makes sense. Operatic is the way to describe it.

  • XD

  • Lee Van Cleef can play the evilest motherfucker ever. Love it.

  • This was a blockbuster back in the day.....

  • 122 people won't see a cent of that money.

  • From what it looks like, I don't think Tuco was going to shoot Blondie.

  • @tehmuffinman346 You noticed that too. As many times as I've seen this movie I didn't notice that until about a year ago.

  • 6:42 - The sound of failure.

  • Clint Eastwood smokes Swishers

  • @ 7:00 Your ass is dead son!

  • Watch how close Angel Eyes comes to hitting Tuco in the head with the shovel!

  • i wish they would re release this in theaters.

  • @jmonkey39511 As long as they don't add 3D to it, cause it seems to be the trend.

  • @luigicamp69 true, i miss when it was rare that a movie was in 3D. now im sick of it.

  • I saw caps on the Remington!!!

  • LOL @6:19 Cartridges with a cap and ball revolver. GOOF UP.

  • @ChrisPenta Actually the arms companies began converting cap and ball pistols to cartridges during the civil war for those that sent them in to them. It was cheaper than buying the new ones that came made for modern cartridges, so not a screwup.

  • @DefCon1966 Actually YES a screw up. The man has 1 gun (cap and ball revolver according to the video) and he utilizes a cartridge belt. I know the difference.

  • with out clint eastwood there wouldnt be the word badass

  • the actor playing Tuco blows my fucking mind at how amazing he is throughout this movie... seriously holy shit wow

  • @OmnipotentO His name is Eli Wallach and I'm completely agree. He is in a lot of other films including some recent ones (as an old man). What a great actor!

  • Best. Duel. Ever.

Seriously, there is NO MORE ICONIC WESTERN MOVIE MOMENT THAN THIS!

And to think...all with real men, real sets, props, costumes...and no CGI!

And to boot, one of the truest lines ever spoken in a Western:

"You see, there's two kinds of people in this world, my friend--those with loaded guns, and those who dig. YOU dig."

    ;)

  • We played a drinking game to this movie where we would drink every time there was a facial close up... I think I almost died. There are over 40 in just this scene.

  • 4:36 hahaha cap and ball revolver with cartridges. Wooops.

  • How about Lee shoots Clint and Eli, and proceeds to dig up every grave there. Starting with the ones next to the one they just dug up. Naaaah. Just go into a 3 way shoot out and hope that Clint really wrote the truth on the bottom of the stone. Yeah, that's a good idea.

  • AWESOME film! Greatest of the Spaghetti Westerns ever done...another is West World with Yul Brenner (sic). Tip of the hat to you, man! ---Crazy

  • Clint Eastwood was intimidating, but Lee Van Cleef could've frozen Chuck Norris in place with his mustache alone.

  • @logik316 did not happen for they were both in the octogon.

  • just now noticed and Ive seen this movies LOTS of times ''Blondie'' smiles at Tuco ,,Tuco knows he has to act and trust his old ''partner'' again!!!

  • If this was suppose to be a prequel to A Fistful of Dollars, then why was Clint broke at the beginning of A Fistful of Dollars? What happened to the $100,000 of the $200,000 that The Man With No Name got?

  • It will be a VERY sad day when Clint Eastwood dies. :(

  • @killer92173 but he will live on through the great movies he starred in

  • @killer92173 Die?

He's simply going to move on to a higher plane of existence.

  • @Sentenza233 Hi I'm looking for a superhero to form a part time nemesis plan. New to the field of villainy and would prefer not to die. Please respond with contact details.

  • its funny every time i watch this movie the end never EVER gets old and still is epic as ever

  • this is my favorite movie of all time, and Clint is my favorite actor/director of all time, but Eli Wallach absolutely stole the show in this movie. His performance is absolutely incredible, beyond words. You believe him to be Tuco, every bit of him. His greed, his remorse when he meets his brother, the way he plays it off when talking to blonde later. There's many times in the movie where tuco is acting, so Eli had to portray tuco's acting in the movie, and nailed every bit of it. Just WOW

  • I Believe That Blondie Wasnt Even Trying At All

    Wouldnt You Agree :)

  • When this movie first came out, critics panned it. This is because critics are full of shit, and conform to what they expect other critics to say and what they expect to see- You're not *supposed* to like spaghetti westerns, they aren't *art*.

I say fuck that. This movie is a goddamn masterpiece.

  • @mongorians22 bunch of IDIOTS I totally agree......

  • you see the dislike bar there? neither do i :)

  • @raptormajor10 See, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: those who really dig awesome movie clips and those who don't. We dig.

  • Somehow, when The Man With No Name says "Go ahead..." at the end...I expect him to follow it with, "Make my day."

  • Sergio Leone - the only person who can manage to turn 3 minutes of staring at a camera into one of the greatest movies of all time.

  • @Ndawg987654321 & THE Greatest Western of All Time!

  • @Ndawg987654321 "One of the greatest" or "THE GREATEST"?

  • Is there anything more bad ass than Clint Eastwood? (*hint* the answer is no)

  • Comment removed

  • @cpweyant

Tuco didn't know because Blondie most likely emptied it while Tuco slept.

  • 122 people think Blondie's a real sonufa-

  • @nightfly016 ahahahahhhhhh

  • Just a small comment but, you realize in today's movies, all those graves in the background would be CGI? True workmanship here.

  • is there ever a time Clint Eastwood wasn't a total badass in his movies?

  • For future use..never get in a gun fight with Clint Eastwood when there is an empty grave behind you.

  • I can taste the true to life of it.

  • Leone was a god. As was Morricone. And the casting was perfect. The Good and the Bad were amazing, but without Wallach as Tuco, well, the film would've suffered quite a bit. Such an amazing film. One of the best ever made...

  • There just staring at each other from 4:12 to 6:40. They just Stare at each other. The movie still got 4 stars. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie. But this scene shouldn't have dragged on for so long. I got bored after watching theme do nothing for 1 minute.

  • @TheSilverWolfX9 Are you fucking kidding me? It's called strategy. All are fast on the draw. Who is going to pull and shoot first? They were all thinking it through. One of the greatest scenes ever in a western.

  • @TheSilverWolfX9 Then you sir, are quite unfortunate because you can't understand the beauty that is that scene. Even though this scene isn't sad or happy or anything else, the pure beauty is enough to make me tear up. Best movie of all time.

  • @TheSilverWolfX9 Did you ever see the full movie?

  • one of my favorite movies of all time...i love my classics.

  • that trumpet solo is amazing!!

  • 122 people need to start digging.

  • I think this is the moment Quentin Tarantino was given the holy spirit.

  • @deluxeassortment Can't blame him. This is a scene for the ages.

  • imagine being in the theaters and witnessing this scene.

  • Angel Eyes. Kinda hated seeing him die. He was a bad ass.

  • @kylemas2005

Plus he was from Jersey which only made him more of a badass! ;)

  • @rmas32 Jersey aka America's armpit. The bad ass type usually comes from places like Alaska not off a turnpike in the midst of guidos. The Situation doesn't equate to bad ass sorry amigo.

  • @kylemas2005 LMAO!!!! First of all, NONE of the cast of Jersey Shore are from New Jersey. (get your facts together before you try to insult someone.) The only idiots in Jersey who talk like that are transplants from New York and Staten Island. Alaska churns out "the bad ass type?" LOL! OK "Nanook of the North!" I can name at least 20 great actors off the top of my head from Jersey. How many from Alaska dummy? LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • @rmas32 And you can't take a an obvious joke. Way to reinforce the hot head guido idiot stereotype.

  • @kylemas2005 Start Diggin' !

  • @Heyclickme44 Actually... Blondie tells him outright that he did just that...

  • I know the music is called The Trio, but then it cuts and starts to play faster music and that isn't part of The Trio, what is the song that plays then?

  • @homecoolmods it's still the trio, most versions of the trio that you'll find online aren't the theatrical version. search youtube for "morricone the trio full" you'll find an 8 minute version, cut the middle part out of it for the version heard in the film.

  • "You see in this world there's two kinds of people my friend, those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig."

  • 122 people have an empty gun

  • outstanding directing, Leone is a god

  • Clint Eastwood is a hardcore bad ass.

  • Why did they make The Man With No Name wear his poncho at the end of the movie? Doesnt make sense

  • @GORIZARD6 If you had watched the movie, you would have seen he gave up his other jacket for the dying confederate, the poncho was a replacement

  • @foopythemoose I know that but the poncho is his trademark attire and he doesn't wear it for the whole film. Like what gives? He wore it for the first two films. At the beginning of this film what happened?

  • I've officially decided, I'm gonna name my next pet Tuco.

  • There was a Porn Flick out, 3 blondes fighting over a Guys Dick and The same

Horn was playing in the background....Nice Video.

  • Eastwood rules and this proves it. Outstanding film with an epic ending sequence. Amazing.

  • Clint is so tough he's scary even when he's sleeping...

  • Tuco Pacifica Juan Maria Rameriz !!!!!!!!!! You gotta; love him !!! And let's not forget Lee Van Cleef who was probably the best "bad man" on the western screen along with Jack Elam..........

  • wwwprepaidlegalcom/hub/garyard

  • Hahahaha how in the hell does Clint light that match at 0:22??? Just another reason why he is the baddest man to ever live

  • @hitmanfan12222

    Make that 122.

  • my bad..I meant, before the "Bad" fell into the pit.

  • Chuck Norris would have smoked all 3 of them, and then finished Clint's cig before the "Ugly" fell into the pit.

  • @Beckala67 Chuck Norris got his ass handed to him by Bruce Lee, so I doubt he'll be able to take out Blondie's quick draw. The one who fell into the pit was Angel Eyes AKA The Bad and not "The Ugly," who was Tuco, the guy digging.

  • greatest scene ever

  • As good as Clint Eastwood is as an actor, I could see him doing the triple standoff while playing the trumpet solo.

  • When I think "triple standoff" I think of this scene. Furthermore, when I think of my favorite moments in Westerns, this scene is at the top of the list.

  • I still cannot believe I waited so long to watch this movie.

Simply one of the greatest films ever made. I put it in my own top 5.

  • i hate cowboys and this movie is one of the greatest movies iv'e ever seen

  • Perfection. All other westerns use this movie as a bench mark.

  • The Trio was meant to face off for $200,000.00 Dollars. they need it to replace all the bullets they fired and all the cigars Clint smoked.

  • Clint made this movie!! He's da-man!!! Van Cleef isn't bad either.... Wallach sucks dishwater, shoot the cowardly little weasel!

  • the old movies had their charm

these days its all about the comic book crap cgi

  • wow clint has his eyes closed for the whole thing

  • Love this... "Once Apon A Time In the West"~~> GREAT FINAL SCENE !!!

  • eli wallach should have gotten an academy award for playing tuco.

  • Comment removed

  • The scene to end all scenes. This is all that matters.

  • Probably t- Scratch that. Thee best western of all time!!

  • Angel eyes' gun was not cocked. He would have had to pull the hammer back.

  • kool... Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef... filmed in the Tuscany Hills... very kewl man!

  • Time out I dropped my gun

  • gotta love tuco

  • best death ever!!!

  • 121 people thought it be quicker if they did

  • my fav scene from any movie

  • anyone know were this location was filmed?

  • @honest413 If you look closely, you can see it's a hollywood set. the background just stops at a certain point and looks like it's pointed on.

  • @8888plasma No this is filmed outside in Europe. Its actually a European movie with mostly American actors.

  • @BIGSID320 It is NOT a European movie, it is an American Wild Western depiction, they recorded some of it in Europe because of the landscape. Most of the landscaping resembles Western US states, California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. This was how life used to be in these states in 1800's. Not in Europe.

  • @Axmedkoole The original was made in Italian. So it is a European movie.

  • @Axmedkoole They don't call it a Spaghetti Western for nothing!

It is a Western made in Spain by Italians.

  • @Axmedkoole Dude it was made in spain tho. just sayin

  • @honest413 spain

  • @honest413 A few of the scenes were filmed in Rome but most of the movie was filmed in Spain and this scene was located at Carazo, Burgos, Castilla y León.

It is about 450 miles West of Barcelona and the cemetery was created for the film.
