90-100,000 deaths every year from nosocomial infections, I realize this is not plan A, maybe not even plan B, but I feel like there is a better option.
Shoe lace for the ET tube; some inner city ambulances do this! And butterfly bandages for a small lac, if not sutures, which weigh nothing. Also, you could splint with a pen...then he would have a magical writing finger, and could still do paperwork!
Either way this is an innovative way of looking at a safety pin, thanks.
Thanks for the post and the other improvised techniques you added. They are all very good!
We understand your feelings about the potential for nosocomial infections, but these are definitely not techniques to be performed in a hospital or clinical setting. They are for when you have no other options or supplies and sterility is pretty much non-existent. If you have the proper tools you should use them, when you dont, this just gives a potential solution, not the best, but a possibility.
Very educational , really i didn't thought of using a safety pin as a splint. Great video Honestly = ) Five stars. Any other videos like this ?PM me thanks.

Is it. But it's a Option. Dealing with that or Dealing with death. Honestly, Id rather deal with that than death.

@emarbiz It obviously is yes, but I'd rather deal with that pain before bleeding to death.
