You could play the B chord without muting the E string just by strumming starting at the A string. Or in other words just try your best not to hit it, I found after playing guitar for awhile that don't mute strings too often it's more so a technique of avoiding. Although as long as the audience doesn't notice who cares.:P

@AzraTheMissileHeart No it's not, put your 1st finger right behind the 5th fret if your having trouble barring the chord, and curve your 3rd and 4th finger to keep them from muting the rest of the strings, when all fingers are in place, press down really hard and press against your thumb. Hope I helped!

i dont understand the intro, when he tells us to take our third finger off of A chord, which would be the B string. then he tell us to pluck open A string then bounce between the B and E string.. so whats the point of holding this Chord if im not using the strings?

I really want to learn this song, but paying attention to the lyrics throws me off. It feels like it doesn't really respect the soldiers, but calling them murderers. I don't know. Soldiers can't even trust the white flag because you can hold a white flag all the way up to them and then detonate yourself taking them with ya.

My bros squad arrested someone because the guy ran up to a bradly, threw a grenade in, and killed everyone inside, they didn't pee on his hands for doing that btw.. Rise Against is pretty one sided, but at LEAST it's a more generous anti-war song.

@pen24 Yeah they get alot of those people. Either the ones that run up and bomb them self and everyone, or the one's that risk their life to chuck the grenade and get shot. I have a lot of my relatives that has died in war and my cousin who came back and died because of cancer. A couple months after that happened my brother said he wants to join the Marines and my grandma and mom said no because they don't want to loose him. He thinks that he will get big money and come back alive everytime but.

@DennisCoban Its the clash of the strumming rhythm against the vocal rhythm that is the toughest bit to overcome... my biggest tip is remove the strumming pattern, just strum each chord once but still keep the timing. Find songs that are REALLY simple, as in only a few chords and a lot of space between words (like knocking on heavens door). This give you time to think!
