Running any engine lean will result in a failure no matter what the piston is shaped like.

@simomaja The rotary must be pushed at stock power levels (less than 300 h.p) because they usually don't even see 100K miles. You moron of course more piston engine probably break as the rotary engine is put in less than 1% of the cars on the road. Now, for the percentage of good rotaries/broken rotaries to good piston/bad piston engines, the rotary engine far exceeds the piston engine for bad to good. That is why people replace bad rotaries with pistons.  Get a clue idiot.

i was boosting at .9 only mapped for .8 on WOT doing a top speed run, it read 180mph on the clock on a airfield = lean mix, bye bye rear rotor.

it wasnt a case of that it was a case of overboosting. i should have had a boost controller aside from the pfc as advised. this one had 20k on it if it didnt overboost it was good for plenty more, bloody turbos
