first time i heard this on AM radio to the left of the dial in 1978 i loved this song.

FM radio picked it up a few months later. when i first saw nicolette on tv or the cover of her 1979 album she pleasantly looked like someone i knew earlier as a very young child but i am not sure who it was. there truly was magic in songs like this.

In the winter of 1978 I worked as the sole parking lot attendant in a booth at an outside lot in Arlington, Virginia. I had to arrive every morning by 5:30 am and it was always dark and bitterly cold with the wind whipping. My only comfort was an fm radio. I would listen to WPGC-FM and they played "Lotta Love" it seems like every 30 minutes. Listening to Nicolette sing this song always got me through those cold mornings. Her voice literally warmed me up. I shed a few tears when I heard she died.

If you research this song Nicolette was the backup singer for Neil and she picked a blank tape off the floor of his car and played it in his tapedeck and he said if you like it its yours.
