Originally there was no Hell. In the Old Testament the word is "Sheol" which means "grave" or "where the dead people go" in the New Testament it is "Gehenna" which means "valley of Hinnon" which is a valley outside of Jerusalem which was pretty much a garbage heap. It wasn't until centuries later that the early church attributed eternal fire and torment to Hell for no other reason than to get more people to go to church. In other words, they made it up to scare people into obeying them.
As for the word "Hell" it was taken from Norse mythology. The Norse Hel is where all dead go, good or bad (unless they were warriors who died in battle) the good live well there and the evil are punished.
Also, the Bible is not the literal word of God especially the New Testament.The Gospels were written by anonymous authors. Acts was written by the author of Luke. 9 of the letters of Paul were written by Paul. 4 letters of Paul were written by unknown authors who signed the letters as Paul (many writers at the time would put the name of someone more important or famous on their work so that more people would read and accept it).
The rest of the New Testament was written this way except Revelation. Revelation was not placed at the end because it talks about the end of the world but because it was the last book to be accepted into the Bible. At the time, there were many examples of apocalyptic literature. The Book of Revelation just happened to be the one they chose. The Bible (especially the New Testament) was written and compiled by men.
p.s. Jesus was described, by the Pharisees, as a glutton and a drunkard and they questioned his methods because he would eat and commune with the outcasts of society (i.e. the beggars, cripples, prostitues, etc.)

There is plenty of hard evidence for evolution, which is being constantly updated, unlike the Bible, which is filled with innumerable contradictions and obvious injustices. For example, Jesus was angered by the fact that a group of men could not cure epilepsy with practice exorcism. Science has proven that epilepsy isn't "posession" at all.

Science by definition is the understanding of the world that the Christian God created and has given to us. As such Science is Christian in nature. This makes sense given that Science is about finding truth, and so is Christianity. It is unfortunate that science has been hijacked by Darwinists and liberals.

Originally there was no Hell. In the Old Testament the word is "Sheol" which means "grave" or "where the dead people go" in the New Testament it is "Gehenna" which means "valley of Hinnon" which is a valley outside of Jerusalem which was pretty much a garbage heap. It wasn't until centuries later that the early church attributed eternal fire and torment to Hell for no other reason than to get more people to go to church. In other words, they made it up to scare people into obeying them.

As for the word "Hell" it was taken from Norse mythology. The Norse Hel is where all dead go, good or bad (unless they were warriors who died in battle) the good live well there and the evil are punished.

Also, the Bible is not the literal word of God especially the New Testament.The Gospels were written by anonymous authors. Acts was written by the author of Luke. 9 of the letters of Paul were written by Paul. 4 letters of Paul were written by unknown authors who signed the letters as Paul (many writers at the time would put the name of someone more important or famous on their work so that more people would read and accept it).

The rest of the New Testament was written this way except Revelation. Revelation was not placed at the end because it talks about the end of the world but because it was the last book to be accepted into the Bible. At the time, there were many examples of apocalyptic literature. The Book of Revelation just happened to be the one they chose. The Bible (especially the New Testament) was written and compiled by men.

oh, my, my. You really can't be serious. No where in all of christianity has anyone claimed that non-christians shouldn't get married. If that were true then what about all of the Jews and Gentiles of the early church. Show me anywhere in the Bible where Paul told converts that their marriages were invalid. Also, considering that marriage existed before Christianity I think it is safe to say that one can be in a marriage without believing in Christ.
