there is no doubt about wangs abilities on the piano and i might even go as far to say that she could be the most skilled pianist alive today or the future. now having said that i would be very interested to see what she would do with anyone of beethovens last 3 sonatas or the last 3 schubert sonatas or the brahms handel variations baisically a very intellectually challenging piece. does anyone think that she would be able to pull off any of those pieces musically speaking of course only

@rockydalton You make a very true and pertinent statement. Tritsch - Tratsch is all very well as a witty throw away encore, rather like light peppermint after a satisfying main course. Yuga Wang is hugely gifted pianistically, however as you rightly point out I doubt at this early stage of career if she has the intellectual capacity to tackle late Beethoven or Schubert convincingly. By contrast her Chopin and Scriabin playing is very fine indeed.

Certainly a name to watch.
