if anyone could find a song By Ms. Lee titled "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" (At least I think that's what is was called, possibly "Yeah, Yeah Baby") I would greatly appreciate the posting of it, I heard it on an album once a long time ago and would love to hear it again.
Duke gave Peggy the music, and asked her to ask lyrics for it. Yes, this performance is from a 1961 TV show. It's in color and in such good condition because it was taken from a great DVD named "Fever: The Music of Miss Peggy Lee," which contains original prints.
Peggy Lee and Duke Ellington are the composers, but this doesn't sound like the Ellington band. The song was made for the 1959 film Anatomy of a Murder, but this looks like a much later rendition, probably on t.v. The colour is too good for it to have been much before 1975.
STANDOUT! Peggy at her best, but when wasn't she?

It makes me think of Dexter seasons 2 and 5. Dexter is a "sweet talking liar" who tells "a story as big as a barn" Then fishing ,,,,

The gown is glamorous, funny, surprising and a prop. She's such an original. She wrote the lyrics.

It kinda looks like She Is pulling the line out of the reel, therefore that Trout must be out there In Water quite a ways.

Oh! how rude of me, Thank you for posting this. It is one of my favorites of both Ms. Lee's and Mr. Ellington's works.

Awesome! I wish it was the whole song. The first verse is missing. What show did it come from? Is this 1961?
