  • The "Boylston Turn", baby, YEAH!

  • Oh good grief. That screeching is worse than I remember. Either the MBTA actually insulates its trollies or they made a layout adjustment for the worse.

  • make a very screechy sound

  • even new york sounds better

  • I didn't know this was the oldest subway in the US, when did it open?

  • Ever been down the Pleasant Street Incline? Ive always wanted to sneak in but I havent got the guts to do it.

  • Nope, never done that, sounds like a recipe to get in trouble with the transit police though.

  • They screech even louder at goverment center when heading towards the branches

  • The Kinki Sharyo Green lines with the original paint jobs are the best. They actually have paint that make them look like the actual "green lines" unlike the paint jobs on the newer cars.

  • What creates that awful screeching?

  • The metal wheels grinding against the metal rails when they go around tight curves

  • ya and what is also cool is those old greenline trolleys siting on the out of service tracks the pcc and and the other one and compare to what we have now the type 8's and and type 7's

  • I wish they would fix them up and take them for fan trips like in the 80s-90s, but I've heard they have a lot of problems.

  • and the T has become the most annal transit system in america (although SEPTA and MUNI join the ranks too)

  • You mean the MBTA Green line, it is the most widely used streetcar/light rail line in the US, that is right.
