  • U put it together verry well nice job

  • The song is by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds from their "Tender Prey" album.

  • @phaota Quite right.

  • Awesome video, it was very well put together! And I know the movie wasn't out when you made it, but Mr. Nick (Tom Waits) from The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus would have been perfect for this. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

  • @lordllama23 He definitely would have been here. But, as you say, the movie wasn't out yet.

  • Don't forget Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine.

  • @tdfritzthe1st I didn't forget them. They're not here for the same reason No-Heart isn't here.

  • Really fun video, although I wish you could have had

Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef) The Good The Bad And The Ugly

    in there somewhere.

  • @cha5 I'm kind of ashamed to say that I've never seen that movie.

  • @manwithoutabody It's really worth seeing sometime if you want one of the most memorable films ever IMHO (don't let the fact that it's a western stop you, even if you don't like them it's a must see) and Lee Van Cleef plays the most sadistic evil bastard you'll ever see with a six shooter.

  • @manwithoutabody One of my favorite bits is where he's torturing Eli Wallach for information, right after he's had a nice meal with him and he asks him coldly

    "How's your digestion now?"

  • @manwithoutabody, would you consider doing a video that is TV villains ONLY? Only I saw 1 television villain in this video - The Master from Doctor Who (though I'm more than likely wrong about seeing only 1 TV villain in this video). But this is a brilliant video.

  • @AVillainousVoice There's also Davros, the Mark Hamill and Kevin Richardson incarnations of the Joker, and Papa Lazarou from The League of Gentlemen. They're all from TV shows. The truth is, I don't make a lot of music videos anymoe because they tend to get taken down for copyright infringement. But thanks for you kind words anyway.

  • @manwithoutabody This rocks! thanks for putting it up. I have a ? though why is king kong a villin? Also if you still havn't seen "Legend" yet you can see it on my page under movies.(please note I didn't put it up it's just on my chan)

  • @moonlightskitten King Kong is a villain because he breaks stuff and kills people. He's one of the more sympathetic characters here, though.

  • Something about this song seems a bit like a cross between Rob Zombie and Tom Waits. Am I the only one who thinks this? That's not a bad combination at all. I definitely dig it. Nice villain choices, by the way. Did the joker really have to be in there three times, though? Hehe! Hey, it's YOUR video.

  • Nice, I spotted Mr. Teatime from the Hogfather.... Pratchett reigns supreme.

  • I'm not criticizing but I don't see Captain Hook, Cruella De Vil, Shere Khan, Prince John, Jafar, Scar, Hades or Shan Yu.

  • @tdfritzthe1st Well spotted.

  • @manwithoutabody Thank you.

  • Not complaining, but I was surprised to not see Tim Curry's character from legend.

  • I'm afraid I haven't seen that movie, but I hear it's good.

  • HELLO DAVE YOUR MY WIFE NOW

  • good, but you missed one bad guy. The Murdering Monk on our channel-check it out.

  • Lots of bad guys, far more qualified and famous than yours, didn't make it into the video. Don't you think it's a bit presumptuous to suggest that I "missed" your character?

  • just toshin man

  • awesome comp. the only one I don't think belongs is king kong.

  • I'd say he qualifies as a villain, sort of. Although he's obviously one of the most sympathetic characters here.

  • yaay! you put frollo in there!

  • OMG, you got Alex DeLarge, & Ratigan, & McLeach, & Gaston, & Frollo, & Jack Torrance, & all my favorites! :D Dude...you rock! ^_^

  • I'd have to say I quite enjoyed this! Great music and great characters. I see very few flaws in your descisions since they were YOUR favorites, not simply ones well respected. I'm tempted to make a response but, embarrisingly enough, I don't fully comprehend how to get video for my villans. Anyway great list, even with out the ones deliberately left out (though I still wish Palpatine were included but as stated this is your list.) and I love the song

  • 1:18 1:19 which movie is it from?

  • The crazy screen-pointing guy? That's the Phantom of the Opera.

  • I love this song. It always makes me want to pillage some poor town and then burn it down.

  • Who was that between Maleificent and Cesare?

  • That's Orson Welles, but I don't remember the name of the movie.

  • Actually, it's Frank Frye (Norman Lloyd) in Saboteur.

  • Really? Oh crap.

  • I suppose I could list who I thought should've been included. But as it stands, it's really good.

  • Thanks. Obviously, I couldn't include every villain ever, and I'm sure I'm missing plenty of worthy ones.

  • yeah, they should of included video games villains too

like Sephiroth, but is a good vid.

i liked it cuz it used most of the famous villains from classic movies. I love how it started with Count Orlox in Nosferatu

  • It's "Orlok", not "Orlox". And there are video game villains here: Wesker, from Resident Evil, and Irenicus, from Baldur's Gate 2. There's no Sephiroth because I've never played that game.

  • I was the baddest Johnny

    In the apple cart

    My blood was blacker

Than the chambers of a dead nun's heart

  • This is absolutely awesome! This is one of my favorite Nick Cave songs, easily his most sinister, and these are awesome examples of true villainy. Kudos sir, kudos!

  • that was fantastic

  • is it totally awesome that two of my top 5 favorite villains in this video are rats?

    yeah, it's totally awesome.

  • Ratigan and Jenner? Yeah, that's fair.

    Who are the other three?

  • Ganondorf, Maleficent, Heath's Joker, and The Mysterious Stranger.

    ...oh wait, that's four. meh.

  • In what way is the Phantom of the Opera a villain?

  • Well, you know, he's a murderous kidnapping stalker. He's not the evillest person here, but he's definitely a bad guy.

  • Where's Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet? He was pretty evil...

But nice, I wouldn't have thought of the guy from Pan's Labyrinth. He did an awesome job.

  • Never saw Blue Velvet, but I heard it was good.

  • that falling part definetly needs Top Dollar's last moments:D

  • He's the bad guy from The Crow, right? I'm afraid I never saw that movie. Although visually, that Draven fellow is clearly based on Cesare, and I have him in here.

  • right :) beautiful moment when he falling from church roof to became a part of red fountain.and this guy Wincott isn play bad people,he's surely just pure evil :D great movie

  • but what about Dracula? and frankenstien"s monster? and uhh the creature from the black lagoon

  • Well, Orlock is sort of the same person as Dracula. The other two are pretty good villains as well, but I'm afraid I haven't seen the relevant movies. I didn't say this video was the best villains ever - I just said they were my favourites, so naturally I missed a few. I was recently horrified to realize that I'd forgotten Freddy Krueger, who was absolutely terrifying in his first movie.

  • well don't forget the exorcist scariest movie Ive ever seen

  • the symbiote is though it's pure evil crawling on youre skin but I liked that you put count Orlock and Dr.Caligari

  • Oh, I agree. By "not a bad villain" I guess I actually mean "not a badly constructed villain".

To tell the truth, though, it didn't occur to me. I'm not terribly familiar with Spiderman beyond the movies. I'm glad to see someone other than me knows Nosferatu and Cabinet.

  • oh why it's a pleasure to see that also the new howwor movies are bland cliche and horrible remakes but ive tried to watch Nosferatu but it's music makes me sleep

  • There are many different versions of Nosferatu with different soundtracks. Not all of them are well-suited to the film.

And I'm afraid I've never seen The Exorcist either, but I heard it was good.

  • No venom? seriously? oh well I still Thought It ws awesome!!!

  • Venom's not a bad villain, but Spiderman 3 had some problems, and I'm not terribly familiar with any of the TV shows or comics.

  • the joker is my fave!

  • Doesn't surprise me. Dare I ask which portrayal was your favourite?

  • Well that was sufficiently amazing.

  • Whoever said it was? ;)

  • most of the villains here are my favourites too..

  • A great video in every way. You did this song justice.

  • Where is Darth Vader?

  • No idea. Probably somewhere in outer space.

  • LOL

  • pretty flippin good idea! i'm actually working on a music video for this song and I was just doing some research. I like yr take on it!

  • yey Papa Lazarou :D

  • dear manwithoutabody

can you tell me what the name of the film on this video are

  • It's all in the info on the right.
