How the heck do you consistently short hop like that. I try to press the C buttons fast but half the time I normal jump and the other half is short jump. I try and press it lightly but it's hard to press that button lightly. It needs a certain threshhold of pressure to make it move and then you have to find that sweet spot. Am I doing something wrong?
@th3kuzinatorSH I'm just playing on my old N64 system. i mostly only play with friends. But I've been practicing it for a few hours now and I'm getting the hand of it. Now I have a question about fast falling. It seems like there is hardly any time to FF before or after performing an attack. Instead of always SHFFLing can you just do SH -> Attack -> Z-cancel?

@SunshineOpenFeint You can't ceiling or wall tech in smash64. You can only DI into them.

@Devourer09 Probably not.
Foe starters, try to use a keyboard with soft keys rather than hard ones. It will make the quick tap a lot easier.
You just gotta get used to tapping it.
I have been playing for a full year now and it has become second nature to me. You will get it with enough practices after a month or two.

@Devourer09 you must be a melee player.
ssb64 does not rely on the shffl at all.
At high level. some characters have a beneficial shff uair but thats about it.
Just sh aerial zcancel.
