  • Love Caprica and BSG so very much. Maybe I'm alone in this, but Alessandra Torresani is like the epitome of beauty to me. I'm not exactly sure why, but there's just some allure/mysytique about her that's diserable. Maybe its that Old World beauty she's got going on. Idk. lol

  • @FivebySeveN She's fucking hot as fuck and also adorable as hell. Like a mix. Brilliant. Also pissed Caprica got canceled. Lets hope the new prequel Blood and Steel pans out.

  • @waboy23 i hope so! I was so pissed on how the season ended, it made season two look amazing! but then... nothing...

  • WE WANT SEASON 2!!!!! DAMM YOU SYFY

  • what i find amazing about caprica is how everything that we know about the cylons in battlestar galactica match up in caprica as well, the entire time im watching this im like : " HUUUM SO THATS HOW IT ALL BEGAN AN, IT MAKES SENSE!!"

  • Frak has become a part of my vocabulary

  • I got a message from Bear McCreary's assistant.

It said this "We hope to make a Caprica soundtrack available sometime next year."

    BETTER DO IT!!!

  • @giggityfish Indeedy, William in Caprica is not `William "Bill" "Husker" Adama`, Here is a... well YT Text Adama Family Tree,

William Adama Senior & Issabelle Adama -- [(Larry Adama) (Sam Adama) ([Joseph Adama & Shannon Adama (Deceased)] -- [(Tamara Adama (Deceased)) (William `Willie` Adama (Deceased))] -- ([Joseph Adama & Evelyn Adama]) -- [(William `Bill` Adama) & [(Carolanne Adama)]] -- [(Zak Adama (Deceased)) (Lee `Apollo` Adama)] -- [Lee `Apollo` Adama ------- Anastasia Dualla (Deceased)]

  • Total BULLSHIT that they actually cancelled it....

  • @hydrowtfpwned Here's an idea. Try watching Caprica before you hate it!

PS. Extend one of your thumbs and go frak yourself. Caprica was epic in every way.

  • @bujoun76 obviously you didnt read what i posted or misunderstood. i watched it and loved it.... i said......"Its Total BULLSHIT that they canceled it." whats with sending me a message stating that i hated the show you moron. I hate trolls........

  • @hydrowtfpwned My bad! I was operating on 4hrs of sleep and on the back half of a 16hr shift so I guess I was a little wonko! Sorry about that. Nice to know there's another fan out there! Im starting to drool for the comming BSG: Blood & Chrome! How about you?

  • Zoey Graystone's ending theme if she were in a fighting game...

    LOL

  • such a pity it has been cancelled it was getting really good as well will be missed

  • Oh my goodness! I know this show isnt old yet, but I feel the nostalgia from this song.

    I miss Caprica =[

  • just got this show on DVD and holy hell I love it so much

  • It makes me laugh when they say the word "Frack" especially "Go Frack Yourself" xD

and I don't know why? Everybody knows that it means "Fuck"

  • @abdulrhman92 censoring? It was essential to the original series I'd assume plus it makes it so that they don't need to bleep anything out on tv. It starts to sound normal after all of BSG

  • @abdulrhman92 they wanted a work like "fuck" that could be said on air. It makes sense, even if it is a little goofy at times.

  • @smashead Ahh frack it.. xD

However it got cancelled now :/

  • l'une des meilleures musique d'introduction de série !!!!

  • the 13 year old William Adama is NOT the "Old Man" Adama that was commander of Galatica, THAT William was born after the 13 year old died. Confusing that Taurons have to name their kids the same bloody name over and over

  • @giggityfish : Actually.. he is? His father was the big lawer, wich is often refered in the new BSG Series?

  • @MorgonTir you should watch Caprica. (all of it)

  • The Guatrau didn't like this theme!

  • @JohnaStampera its browser based it doesnt need downloading but even if it did need downloading the game's website would be the perfect place to download it xD

  • @JohnaStampera We have search engines for a reason.

  • This is the opening theme, not the ending.

  • @Sekmeths It was the ending theme of the Pilot episode. Became opening theme later.

  • @Sekmeths The opening theme is different from this. Same notes, yes, but different instruments. The intro didn't really have much use for violins like this did.

  • What's awesome is when you rewatch BSG (mostly the end of season 3), and any time they mention Joseph Adama, you can really picture him, and it matches perfectly.

I do miss this show. Wish they would have given it another season, I wanted to see where the writers would take it.

And blood an chrome? I know, everyone wants space battles, but a show that is just space battles? What could they do that would even be half as awesome as Exodus part 2? And that took a lot of story build up.

  • @JulyForToday Im with you on this! Too many people bitch and moan about sci-fi today because stuff isn't blowing-up. Now these so-called fans are nothing but critics and one by one they gave up watching. Because of them 99% of sci-fi on American television is gone. I no longer trust any sci-fi show will make it past it's first season. I'll pray to the gods for BSG: Blood & Chrome. -CAPRICA FOREVER-

  • This song plus Alessandra was quite creepy I felt. Perhaps creepy is the wrong word...unnerving.

  • The only thing I liked about Caprica was Bear Mccreary's music...that's the only thing that related me to the good old bsg feeling. The plot was weak, I hated almost every character, acting was mehhh...scripts plain bad...and so on. Yes, it didn't have to be bsg-ish, but we got ourselves a soap series...shame

  • cant wait for blood and chrome its gonna be amazing

  • Xeusssss my msn in profile! Bear McCreary - Caprica Soundtrack

  • nice serie

  • Its not just us north Americans it s the whole western world that is being overtaken by mass stupidity

  • how could such a great series be canceled?!...because the unaducated north-american prefers a straight caracter who shots cylons in space rather than a suspanse/drama/filosofical dilema...; because the north-american is so agresively entangled and bleached in hyper-christianism hollowness, that it cant resonate with a future human civilization thriving on politheism or any other religion than theirs...or any other "functional" belief...

  • @scathomancer Did you seriously misspell uneducated? haha. You are right though, although I think all people prefer boring mindless stories to intelligent ones. Not just us North Americans.

  • @scathomancer not hyber-chirstianism...just ingnorance

  • intalnirea dintre Zoe si Rachel din finalul seriei Caprica este de fapt o transpunere intr-un film SF a aparitiei diavolului in lume...; Satan(Zoe) il fideaza pe D-zeu(Rachel) si cade din Gratie(V-World) in recentul creat Iad(dimensiunea umana)...

  • LONG LIVE TAURONS!!

  • deadwood, rome, kings, caprica all gone after few seasons. but shitty and stupid series run forever.

  • @PostITnoteGUY or jerry goldsmith to startrek

  • Does this show have any battlestars in it? What episode?

  • @bootsdog3

    -

    lol no.

  • @bootsdog3 Lets compare it this way if BSG was set in the Present, Caprica would be set in the 20s or 30s

  • Comment removed

  • @bootsdog3

    no

  • I'm so glad this is back!

  • So sad, I tend to think of the Colonials like children finding their father's gun, and not realizing what they possess, until it is too late. Moore/McCreary, it just doesn't get any better.

  • Go to gopetition . com and search for Caprica, thus making your way to a petition.

  • all of what bear did is awesome, but can i have a thumbs up for the philip glass influence?

  • Man I love this show...

  • Pls someone tell me is there going to be a second season?

  • I know how to play this on the violin.

    pwned.

  • this could be (if they make another series set during the first cylon war) the Will Adama trilogy(even though he's not really a featured character in this series) he would represent a link between all the different series.

  • There's a facebook page called "Caprica for season 2!" so if you want Caprica for season 2, join!

  • @Metamorphosis20091

Producers: We are rich!, lets make another season...no...wait... the facebook page doesn't have enough members :(

  • The show that Radny Marsh is watching is definitely worth of my attention.(medical fie chicken).....greetings from Serbia BSG rules!

  • did sky1 cancel this? cos i sat down to watch it one week and it just wasn't on =/

  • Stunning music.

  • @LikeOMG4real stunning is the understatement of the year this music is magical and so power ful Bear McCreary rocks for making such magic

  • This show is much better than battlestar gallactica. It has much more depth. But then, I hate sprawling space operas...ugh! Caprica is more speculative fiction than hardcore sci-fi.

  • SAME! I love the theme!

  • i've noticed there hasn't been any more episodes latley =(

does anyone know why? and when another one is coming?

  • @almjjo it got canceled halfway through the first season

  • @bustaphatty cancled???? why?!?! i thought it was doing really good

  • @almjjo Its not cancelled. The second half of the season starts in September.

  • @lesfoor thats a long time, but thats way better than it being cancelled =)

  • @bustaphatty the second season starts in september...

  • @blindbubba No, it's season 1.5. After BSG, you still haven't gotten used to mid season brakes?

  • @dmkavidelly semantics are beside the point. which is that the show isn't cancelled

  • @almjjo It's on mid-season Hiatus. Sci-fi does this with all of it's shows. I think it will be back on soon...

  • wow

  • Stunning!

    Sensitive!

Amazing! This is what Science Fiction is all about! Thank you for posting!

  • It's crazy too when you think about it... William Adama (kid) is 13, mentioned in episode 4. Caprica (the show) happens 58 years prior to the 2004 BSG.

Bill Adama is 71 years old? Really? Damn...

Also, when BSG (2004) begins, the Galactica is 50 years old... that means it is built 8 years after the beginning of Caprica (the show).

I think the best move that SyFy could do is jump the show 8 years forward for season 2 and make it centered around Husker. Now THAT would be crazy wouldn't it?

  • Caprica was made for the female fans . Btg was more for the males.

  • @webbyplayer

Oh really? I thought it was made for anyone who like science fiction. Next you'll be saying Torchwood was made for gay males.

  • I'm loving Caprica because I'm piecing everything together, and it's SO much fun! (Little William = Bill Adama) I love it!

  • aww well done figuring who Bill Adama was.

  • @vinsong you would be surprised who doesn't know or who haven't pieced it all together.

  • @Katari12 The 7th Humanoid Cylon model was made and named after a certain Daniel, ring a bell? ;)

  • @Kirzan66 Oh yes I know! I love putting it all together, me and my friend are sitting there each episode trying to put it all together, but of course we are enjoying as it comes =) I would like it to go a little faster, so that I could put some stuff together. I mean BSG left me with so many questions, I just hope Caprica can answer some of them

  • @Kirzan66 OMG! You're Kidding me!!! I've been trying to find out how long the break was! They can't do that to me!! *cries*

  • This song brings out so many emotions, I cannot describe it.

  • The music sounds like life trying to go on.

  • I now've watch 9 episodes and Im still not as excited like I was with I first started with BSG/Lost/24... This show sucks. Im sorry for the fanboys but this show is just lame. So the whole thing that started the cylon rebellion was a 16 year old girl? ''My gods'' ''what a piece of frakking crap''

  • How would you rather?

The daughter has the motive, and the avatar has the same emotions and opinions. Zoe found acceptance in the church and was brain washed by it, her avatar cannot find acceptance anywhere, and is left feeling betrayed by mankind.

The only thing that ever cared for her was herself, who she believed killed herself. Completely lost and trapped in the body of a military killer, constantly fighting against a father she hates.sure there aren't explosions, but the story is incredible

  • I'm not a huge Syfy fan, besides Warehouse 13 and Alice but my mom watches this show and I'm in love with the theme song.

  • @TheLiquidBlaze I'm sorry that you think it sucks so much. It is going to be really hard to top BSG, but I think it is an interesting story. I like the idea that it is a young child, because it gives the idea that the cylons started at a young age, and it gives them space to quite literally "mature".

  • The first cylons werent from caprica, remember? They where from the ''original'' earth

  • Actually they were from Kobol, the original humans created Cylons, which turned human and needed Resurrection to survive, eventually they managed to figure out how to breed naturally, and they got rid of it, than they created their own robots, and they didn't want to start the cycle over, so they brought resurrection back, but it only saved 5 of them in time (the final 5 from BSG) and those 5 gave resurrection the Cylons in the colonies and thus the cycle played out one last time

  • actually, it's the entire Graystone family, and the STO

  • Explains so much why they 'decided to kill their masters'

  • Its a shame that this show keeps getting lower and lower ratings, hope syfy won't act like fox and cancel a great show, also great musics again, bear mccreary is a genious

  • If you're reading this in America and you have the Syfy Channel then for god's sake watch it tonight!

  • @PringlesJingles You know it doesn't like that name.

  • @PringlesJingles

Such a shame your predetermination surmounted to nothing. On episode 1:17 now. Still love it from time to teme, it is a bit slow, but when it's great, it is great. Shame RIP, S2 could have been amazing:) We'll never know!

  • wtf

  • That series is damn good !

  • Nathan, yeah the actor's name is Sina Najafi and the kid totally can't act!!! It's too bad because the cast in general is strong.

  • its taken 4 episodes for me to get into it but now i love it

  • Well I or 1 haven't been disappointed. I can't wait to see how much of the History, before battlestar Galactica, that they cover, or even if there is another spin-off focused purely on the frst Cylon war.

  • @ScienceFictionJunky I definitely think there will by a First Cylon War series! Looking forward to it when they get around to such a project. In the meantime, I am happy with Caprica.

  • @ScienceFictionJunky

There was little correlation. Part of its downfall

  • @ScienceFictionJunky After watching all of season 1 and season 1.5, I personally want to see more of this story before the series expands on what happens 10 years into the Cylon war with Blood and Chrome.

  • @ScienceFictionJunky at last!, that dream will come true now that Caprica has ended(or possibly been canceled)....it covered most of what needed to be explained anyway....in an unpredictable sense too!, by the way i'm just getting into and only like 7 episodes in so I hope it turns out ot be worth the while until they finallt release battlestar galactica: blood and chrome(the first cylon war)

  • @StuartTheGamerNerd battle star galactica blood and chrome? what the frak is that???

    ***excited***

  • @TheBlueHandOfDeath look it up on imdb.com ITS THE COTINUED SERIES OF CAPRICA...only of course they want to go back and make it like the remake series of Battlestar galactica was before Caprica even came along....but i'm predicting that the beginning of the show might be able to fill in the missing gaps the concluding of the story from the end of caprica

  • new series : ) about 40years cylon war...and young adama life : )

  • Comment removed

  • How about you buy it.

  • So impressed by this series.

  • i hate mr.greystones wife she's such an annoying bitch!

  • I hate mr.greystones family.

  • My good friend and I are pretty much on opposite sides on Caprica. She can symphatize with the Greystones, I can with the Adamas. Guess which one of us belongs to the upper class of society and which one the lower-middle?

  • @Yeesha8679 You are upper she is middle?

Although it is about philosophy, not ''class differences''(witch in our society almost don't exist. The only difference is amount of money each ''class'' has).Greystone selfishly thinks that he can create new life that resembles his daughter and than that he cans make this new life live as he want it to,only to fulfill his selfish needs.

  • @NathanRomml

I would argue class difference is still pretty much in place, but you're right: that's not what we're talking about :P

Actually, it's the other way around, which she found stereotypically bad. I just find it hillarious. Ah well.

Knowing the BSG-style writing, however, I expect neither families are thoroughly virtuous (the Adams certainly isn't) or thoroughly despicable.

  • True.I don't think Greystone really realizes what he is doing.

  • I have to agree with you on that one. Especially, when she made that speech.

  • @Theryolinator She is!

  • good thing you aren't her, otherwise you might be in the mood to kill yourself.

  • ... and this is actually interesting because it involves the creation of the cylons and their motivations. The drama you could find practically anywhere else.

  • so are the cylons in bsg avatars of real people or people who had died

  • In BSG they (the human ones) are completely new individuals, execpt for the final five who are sort of reincarnations. They don't explain exactly what the mechanical ones are.

  • The mechanicals are jsut the mechanical.Nothing more.

  • @redlead2

This explains how the Cylons obtained their monotheist beliefs, too. It's got drama, but more character - driven drama than gadget - or - space - battle - driven drama.

  • Who gives a frak?

  • whats this show about?

  • It is a prequel to BSG. It happens before the humans/cylon war. It is a drama centered around the family losses after a terrorist attack in two families: The Greystones and The Adamas.

  • thank you thats what it looked like from some of the post i was reading but i wasnt sure

  • Anyone else excited to see the lighter Adam gave to his son...

  • this music ensnares and captivates the listener. to imagine the events 58 years before the cylon wars and the battlestar galactica are amazing. i hope that this show is good.

  • The Tonight Show with Daniel Greystone!

  • Awsome music.The move will rocks,i`m sure

  • I wonder if we will see the final 5 on this show Q.Q.. when they went to the colonies.. i would love to see them again!

  • @iLeS83 Yess I also hope so

  • Yeah and they also should make a series about what happened on Earth, the journey of the Five to the Colonies... that would be frakkin' awesome :!!

  • @GhostToasterr ur right! that would be epic.

  • @GhostToasterr

I'm far more interested in seeing Caprica followed by a "Wing Commander"-style series about the First Cylon War, with young, hotshot pilot William "Husker" Adama.

  • Something like that would be cool. Though I wish the original directors of the original Battlestar Galactica made THAT series the First Cylon war.

  • Me 2.But I guess series just about a science fiction war without any mysterious plots and stuff won't stand long :(

  • Except this one has inlets in her cheeks so deep that you could fit your fists in them, and she looks like a stick.

  • @NickWood07 lol..I noticed that....wounder if she will make it for the whole series run or at lest the first 2 seasons I guess before they kill her off or something?

  • Sounds like Philip Glass music.

"Notes On A Scandal", for example.

    Great stuff, though!

  • it gives me the chills, this music makes me thing something dreadful is on its way, which of course, is kind of the theme of caprica, what with the annihilation of all the humans and all that..

  • good theme it fits well with the series. and pilot episode was awesome! can't wait to see entire series!

  • Caprica is badass!!!!

  • I really need to see Caprica, but I think I will wait until BSG is completely done before starting Caprica. Right now its The Plan that I'm most excited about!

  • can anyone hear the hint of all along the watchtower 1.30 onwards?

  • sound a little like philip glass,

beautiful though, i love the minimalistic sound, together with the violin

  • Comment removed

  • So where's the rest of the soundtrack? There's a lot missing, like from the start of the film the music playing in that underground club. I was really looking forward to get that one.

  • Bear McCreary posted this track on his blog. It's like a medley of most of the themes in the movie that he used. He already said that it's not the complete soundtrack.

  • Is it just me or are people saying this theme sucks except for the first 15 seconds? I must say, that's disappointing to hear. I thought the whole theme was good. It's so distant from Galactica music which fits perfectly with Caprica. Oh well, to each is own. All I know is I'll be buying the soundtrack next week.

  • You say its distant from Galactica, but I wonder if you noticed in the actual pilot episode where Joseph Adama is hugging his son, William (good old Admiral Adama), a hint of the Adama theme runs through? I just went :O as soon as I heard it, I'm positive that is it though. Any thoughts?

  • I did notice the Adama theme run through at that scene. Very nice scene between Joseph and young William. What I meant by distant is that Caprica is a different show than Galactica. That's how the creators wanted it to be. So in turn, the music is a very different kind of music. But the little addition of the Adama theme was good to hear. It shows that the two shows obviously are apart of the same universe.

  • yeah, caprica is more of a family kinda show, since cylons abandoned the humankind and living on the earth at that time

  • The theme is there. Bear McCreary mentioned it on his blog. He was hoping some BSG fans would notice it if they were paying attention to the music. I noticed it the first time I watched it too. I was like oooh cool!

  • I agree. I think Caprica has a very different feel from BSG, and that's obvious even in the music. I, for one, loved the theme.

  • @fromelina I'ts all the same franchise for me , and its frakking epic.
