@TheOnlyTrueYeti I have a Forester Turbo Xt 2009 and a Volvo like this one....different cars,different segment, Volvo traction is extremely good, in this case the tires makes the difference.

@sirtubemaster I'm not selfish, it's only in good intentions. No offence, man! Many destroy their SUV's in the belief that the cars are genuine 4x4's. I think that's a shame. I speak with experience of myself. A friend and I took a ride in his Audi Allroad in similar conditions and I realized how stupid we were. It ended with a wrecked car .... :'(

The driver must be pretty stupid. That would've been easy to get out of if he had rocked the car back and forth by moving between drive and reverse. That would've given momentum to get out.

Just steady throttle and let the tires spin so the TRACS system can begin to work... TRACS brakes the spinning wheel but works slow...

Those tires are awful for any off highway terrian. That being said some more aggressive tires would get you through but I'd still be careful driving my Silverado Z71 with BFG ATs over that same terrain.
