*imagining darth vader in high school*

  • @Revolationsz I have altered your wedgie. Pray I do not alter it further!

  • darth vader is educating us.

  • Quoth the raven: Eat my shorts!

Lisa: Bart Stop it he says never more and thats all he will ever say

    Bart: Okay Okay..

  • It really does make me happy that there are nigh on half a million who share a love for such great art.

  • Imagine Tommy Wiseau's interpretation: ''O hai, raven. You're tearing me apart, raven! Anyway, how's your sex life?''

  • He also does the voice acting of mufasa in Lion King

  • @TTTNLify yeah he does! it sounds just like mufasa reading a poem :)

  • Moonlight Sonata+James Earl Jones reading of The Raven= EPIC

  • If you watch the raven vignette in the first simpsons halloween special, it sounds so much like JEJ I swore it was him. Apparently not though.

  • my friends compare my voice to this guy...i can die happy now:')

  • Amazing

  • james earl jones rocks!!!!! he has such an amazing voice!!!! his voice is so powerful & its like mufasa reading a poem :D

  • Best... Voice... Ever...

  • Step 1: Look up "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven

Step 2: Play at same time as this.

    Step 3: ????

    Step 4: profit

  • @patrik978 step 1: look up "The Raven/Moonlight Sonata" step 2: save time

  • We listened to this in my College English class. It was legit.

  • BORING TO TEARS! Poe is rolling in his grave.

  • @skwiddjergensen

    SATAN WORSHIPER!

  • @TheStimpyland So articulate. So variable. So esorteric. So stupd. Get back on your meds.

  • @skwiddjergensen

Yes, I am very stupd. I'm not stupid though.

  • @TheStimpyland Soon, so very soon. youtube.com/watch?v=AIHabvURnpk

  • @skwiddjergensen

  • he said "bosoms"... giggity!

  • James Earl Jones: Quoth the raven--

    Bart: Nevermore.

    Homer: Why you little--!

    Bart: Uh-oh!

  • James Earl proves himself emotionless.

  • @skwiddjergensen

Please don't talk about God that way.

  • @TheStimpyland GOD?? Poe is closer to God than Earl is. I have read Poe and I know his intellect and mastery. To read the Raven is to cry and bawl in tears of anguish. Not to read it stoned face.

  • @skwiddjergensen

I can't bear to hear such nonsense.

  • @TheStimpyland Take a theatrical course.

  • @skwiddjergensen

    Excuses, excuses.

  • @TheStimpyland Take a theatrical course.

  • @skwiddjergensen

    BUT I DON'T WANNA

  • THANK YOU FOR NOT PUTTING MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND!

  • Combine this with (/open a second window and play) "Dimmu Borgir - Sorgens Kammer" (the mourning chamber). Set the volume of the song lower than the voice of James Earl Jones. Enjoy...

  • James Earl Jones could read the telephone book, and I wouldn't listen to him. I mean, he would have to be insane to do it in the first place, so I wouldn't wish to encourage it.

  • jodido!!!

  • This is one of my absolute favorite poem of all time!

  • I keep going in coughing fit when I listen to the raven its very strange

  • Quoth the raven, "The I took an arrow to the knee "

  • @lucianli123 not funny

  • @lucianli123 ...i'll give you that one.

  • I've masturbated to this >.>

  • MOrgan Freeman narating your life ??

    OR..

    James E Jones?

    Question from college humor

  • @araczak James Earl jones

  • Thank you so much for uploading this without music.

  • I want James E. Jones to narrate my life!!!! >:1

  • Quoth the raven, "we're gonna need a bigger boat".

  • Bart: "You know what would have been scarier than 'nothing'?"

    Lisa: "What?"

    Bart: "ANYTHING!"

  • the best one.

  • This while listening to Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, movement 2. Yes.

  • Quoth the raven, " I am your father"

  • Vader!!!!

  • then the bird said.... derp.

  • @patrik978

    wow its way better together.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like it. He doesn't inject any of the madness that's supposed to be growing in the poem's narrator throughout the poem. This man is supposed to be losing his mind and questioning his own sanity. At various places in the poem he should be expressing confusion, frustration, suspicion, and anger. All Jones does is read the poem with his famous voice and let that be it. To properly read this poem, it should also be properly acted out. Just my opinion.

  • just love his voice wowwwwwwwwww

  • This sounds amazing to "Mulan's Decisison, Synthesizer version"

  • i wont to know who out there would cut off their left pinkies if they could speak like james earl jones. press like if you would

  • sounds like darthvader

  • @roblrocks

    It is Darth Vader....

  • @Nilsje14 yep that was the joke lol

  • he gave voice to darth vader

  • @roblrocks James Earl Jones voices Darth Vader and Mufasa (from lion king). (and he does much much more awesome work.)

  • @tangoman111 yep yep he's a legend

  • He could probably read out some Nigerian spam mail and make it sound believable.

  • Darth Vader is a great narrator.

  • Listen to this with Moonight Sonata<3

  • 1) Open /watch?v=YIYk0E7GNBs&feature=related

    2) Play the video

    3) Play this video when the music starts

    4) Win.

  • James Earl Jones could read the phone book and it would sound awesome.

  • Perpetual goosebumps!

  • Poor Edgar Allen Poe. Although he did produce a masterpiece thanks to his wife's death.

  • quoff oh quoff

  • Iv'e been here like 50 times this year and its halloween night and here I am....

  • I should start calling this room "my chamber".

  • James Earl Jones Voice and an Edgar Allen Poe poem voice over heaven right here

  • We listened to this in rela on Friday. Hes farther vadar and mufasa!

  • James Earl Jones: Quoth the raven...

    Bart: Eat my shorts!

Lisa: Bart stop it! He says "nevermore" and that's all he'll ever say.

    Bart: Ok ok.

  • @mkc92ingc You have NO soul.

  • i dont understand this? what is it about?

  • @MrTcamp42 I think it's basically about a man having had lost the love of his life, and the raven that flies through the window is like the spectre of death there to torment him about the fact that he'll never get his love back.

  • @MrTcamp42 about a crow that wouldn't stop saying "nevermore" lol

  • Nevermore.

  • Trust me on this one guys. Listen to this while listening to "Moonlight sonata" at the same time. You won't regret it.

  • @patrik978 I agree. Good call, just make sure to look for a version that's the right length

  • @patrik978 Try this and Mozart's " Requiem".

  • @patrik978 Mind blowing. Amazing.

  • @patrik978 fucking magical

  • @patrik978 That is like...the most magical combination ever.

  • @patrik978 Or you could also go to google, search for rainymood, and go to the first page/result, and than watch this. Rain makes everything better;)

  • @patrik978 Damn, it's synched!

  • Quoth the Raven: "When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass and so, we are all connected in the great circle of life."

  • @Jaypee319 Probably the best comment I've ever read.

  • Very nice voice.

  • I listened to this while I was high as fuck. Best 8 minutes of my life EVER !!!

Seriously, I felt like I was there. Edgar Allen Poe paints such a picture

  • James developed a stutter as a child and was virtually a mute until high school. One of his teachers forced him to recite poetry in front of the class on a daily basis and he eventually overcame his impediment. Pretty remarkable and ironic that a man whose voice is so renowned and recognizable might never have spoken at all..

  • James' voice is better than sex.

  • James Earl Jones voice = Porn

  • i literally got an erection

  • i came

  • predivno.

    prelijepo.

    velicanstveno.

  • My ears just imploded.

  • I'm a little confused about his mention of "balm in gilead" I know the reference to the Bible, but I'm not sure how it fits into the poem. Can anyone help me out?

  • SO THAT BIRD WAS THERE TO KILL HIS ASS???

  • @1IIIIIIIIII1

No - he fears the Raven, but it holds no malevolent intentions towards him.

The only think that our narrator has to fear is his own mind; the poem can be interpreted (and this is how I see it) as a window into the slowly growing madness of a man unable to deal with his grief. He dreads his own mortality, yet despairs of living without Lenore - the Raven becomes only an avatar of his own fears and leads, ultimately, to insanity.

  • @CorvusBelli01 I WONDER IF I COULD GET JONES TO READ MY RAVEN POEM

  • Comment removed

  • @CorvusBelli01 A brilliant synopsis.

  • CHARLETON HESTONS VOICE WOULD BE NEST FOR THIS
