I couldn't find anything useful, save this shark attack, in the entire documentary. So if you watched this scene, no need to watch the entire documentary. Go and watch BBC's Nature's Great Events for more beautiful footage.
Seriously this is the most elegant shark attack there is. I searched for shark attacks like made for some days but I could not find better than the one shown at 0:10. Really useful for my work. Just shows you how helpless some poor creatures are before this beast. Just as we humans are before death. Whatever we do and however we may help each other we cannot escape death. And when one of us dies we just keep on with our lives as nothing had happened. Really moving scene. Praise the Lord.
Illegal finning boat should be torpedoed or at least prosocuted. The extent of the decline in shark numbers is obscene and will only change If countries like China, an costa rica allow limits to certain species of sharks and numbers. An independent organisation must be introduced soon as I feel the goverment/s have done to little to late. Few people understand that many sharks require 20+ years to be sexually mature enough to produce other sharks. How many will be left in another 20?
A message to real environmentalists: please watch (or better buy) “Sharkwater”, with Rob Stewart (the biologist, not the singer). It won 22 international awards. It shows the reality of shark conservation around the world like you have never seen it and shows some nasty things about governments and politicians, including in COSTA RICA >:-(
