this will be a very unpopular question, but why always the dark glasses? the mystery is nice, but in cases as especially here, would be nice to see his eyes a bit. wonder if he wears them to bed...perhaps a cloth pair..Id like to find out

I read somewhere that Patricia Morrison said apparently that he didn't think he was good looking. Don't know if that's why he always wears glasses, but if that *is* the case, I dunno what the hell he's on about.

sp, if you dont mind telling me, where did you read that? (if you remember) I ask cos I know very little about him. I dont know even if they were at one time "together". yes, its hard to believe he would wear them for that reason alone. sadly and so wrongly that takes on a sort of phantom of the opera compulsion. I could believe it moreso as a kind of image thing. he has so many highly attractive characteristics such as a natural grace and a vibration in his speaking voice.

aside from, and along with, his general physical highly attractiveness : ). but thats just a womans opinion and one womans at that, I suppose. I have found that men (for the most part, not all) tend to be more superficial than women when it comes to appraising human "beauty".

I've read him say that most rock stars get it round the wrong way - they wear the glasses when they are not performing and just end up standing out.

I am not sure why I am drawn to him, but I guess that is true for many icons. As if he holds a candle to your being, maybe some kind of ontological empathy.

He certainly had his reasons for acting like this or he just has a strange kind of humour.

He made good music, for sure, but I don't understand why musicians consider him as an icon.

Because he is a rip off merchant. I've seen him twice & it was a massive dissapointment both times. And I shelled out a small fortune to join the 'reptile house' mailing list only to have my cheque banked & immediately get a letter saying that they'd gone out of business & I'd be getting f-all else. And he never, ever has a decent work to say about anyone else. Look at the way he's treated the other memeber of SoM over the years.
