You know, if there were some smart Republicans left they would be making plans to LEAVE THE PARTY. Start a center party, a Buy American party, Invest in the Future party. That would look good to the Republican base and the independents. And they could drop the Bush baggage. No more tax cuts for the rich but protecting US industry and jobs and investing in energy(both new sources and old).

A center party that could still be against abortion and pro guns, pro Christ.
