Great review! I used a Flip HD for just over a year until it stopped holding charge and now no longer works...I bought a Sony Bloggie and now returning it...The camera fails for audio. The software is horrible. You can't send videos to friends directtly because Sony wants you to store them on thier web site...

I really like the Flip for recordng live music videos. The sound quality for condensor mic blew away the Sony. Same tilt feature as this one. Sony Bloggie is horrible .

@VaporRuiN I'm pretty sure it's SD card based, so if you have a SD card slot in your Mac then it should definitely work. There isn't a reason why not, since pretty much every camcorder is supported in any OS.

@Videogamester11 yea i noticed that and one problem would be is that if you dont have an hd sd card its going to be grainy another problem would be that is theres too much light where you are filming

@Videogamester11 it should work another problem could be that its not put on the highest resolution to change it you have to click the home button go to settings go to shooting then go to video resolution and change it to 1080p

Now, the question is, how do I SAVE my videos into the sdhc card(which is still inside my camcorder)? There is no instructions of how to do it anywhere on the net. The manual doesn't tell me how to save my vids into the card :(

@YerstrulyPal Ok this was a camcorder that I wanted to get before the Samsung, take a look at Canon VIXIA HF R200. This is a full HD 1080 camcorder thats on sale on amazon for $300. Now I don't know what your budjet is but see if this is ok with you and let me know. In the mean time I may do a follow up on my camcorder and show off tricks on how to record MG kit on film.

@YerstrulyPal First of all I am sorry this camcorder does not meet you needs. Its not of everyone and I thank you for your input. In the level of brands Canon are far better then Samsung. Video quailty on a canon beats every brand hands down. The reason why I pick this at the time was the price which I paid 300 when it came out compard to a canon camcorder which was 600! I could image the camcorder from canon should be less then was it was before. let me check!

@YerstrulyPal I'm glad you ask that. I currently use PowerDirector 9 Deluxe from Cyberlink. Its very powerful and fast on my PC. I was using version 7 of this but it was a copy that someone gave me and it lack a few features that I needed for my video so I purchase ver. 9 and it is great. I tried a demo of sony vegas but you need a degree to understand that program.

Does this camera have auto-focus and macro? Many of the cheap one are fixed focus and you can't shoot close-ups.

Hey i bought this Q10, and i had some problems when i loaded it up on my Mac. It worked withs no complains on 720, but on 1080 it got a little laggy. Can you help on this one?

@BooSackNoodle93 I wish I could but I don't have a MAC. I encode my video using my Windows PC on Powerdirector 9. I would suggest to contact Samsung and find out if they can help you.

Nice review man, I'm thinking about buying one of these myself. Only thing I would like to know more about is the manual focus.

One thing you might add in an annotation is that the camcorder actually will flip the image while recording if you've updated the firmware.

Hi stryderprime, may I know the brand and class of the SD/SDHC card you are using? I'm currently using the Duracell class 10 SDHC and I'm getting the 'low speed card' problem. I can't shoot for more than 1 minute with 720p resolution. Thanks!

Best Buy is selling this for $299, B&H was selling this for $215 so I started doing some research and 20 minutes later B&H increased the price to $299. I was lucky I found it on Amazon for $196.45 Let's see how the results are. I hope the format is supported by Windows Movie Maker.

@wutangkillabeez4life Well the format is MP4 and I do like 1080i but I may switch to 720p because 1080 is a bigger file size. For $200 I would stop reading my comment and get it now. I wish I could get a refund of $100 but them's the breaks.

@stryderprime Anyway,this camcorder is pretty nice. It's really simple, sleek, elegant, and the menus and whatnot are all well presented. I like how it's a touch screen too. The Fader option is pretty cool. Time Lapse is also a a very nice addition. And all those digital effects are awesome. I can't wait to see the kinds of GunPla videos you're able to pull off with this new camcorder. =D

Sony is great, but they overcharge on all their big electronics like TVs, cameras, camcorders, computers, speakers, etc.
