  • I watched your video recently for 2010 with the bc clip at the end. My second time around to the natural world. I originally went back to perming cause of the dry, brittle breakage I thought I was getting away from by going natural. Loved the really tight curls, how'd you get them and the moisture. Help a sista whos returning to her roots.

  • Just so I can respond correctly, what is your specific question?

  • is glycerin an oil i could seal with?

  • Glycerin is not an oil. It is a humectant which attracts moisture.

  • ooooh, (makes sense). well thanks for letting me know. i guess im gonna try some olive oil. does it matter if its extra virgin or not?

  • I personally like the Extra Virgin Olive Oil since it's in its most purest form.

  • who is this singing? is it ruben studdard? if so which cd?

  • Nay, that's Dave Hollister

  • so how are these different than regular flat twists (in terms of the end result)?

  • In my opinion, I think the twistout comes out more defined when using the "Twist While Twisting" method.

  • love the hair! I've been trying to do the same hair style to my hair for over an year (I've had natural hair for about a year braids, sew-in, etc. no perms) and the closest I can get to the hairstyle that you have is a braid out which doesn't last very long and i feel as if it takes FOREVER to do haha! I would like to try your method but i'm nervous about the products I put in my hair.

  • I usually use pantene for dark hair, shampoos and conditoners with jojoba oil. Do you think that this will be enough to maintain the hairstyle that you have or do I need more? And how long does your hair style usually last (I have a satin hair bonnett for the twist out when I try)? Also, do you do the twist while your hair is wet after washing or do you let it dry? My hair is around the length as yours and I want to max the length to look like yours. Again good job and cute hair :-)

  • I'm sorry I'm just responding 2 ur comment bout my twistout, but didn't c it til now. I have a product that I sell called Ashea shea butter pomade. This is the product I now use when I do my twists / twistout. I achieve a fabulously elongated, defined, shiny soft twistout. I'm actually just starting up my natural hair beauty supply store & I do retail the pomade for $9 if interested. I'll send u my Ashea product review video so u can see how my twists/twistout turned out after using the product.

  • Your hair looks great! I love that side shot!! This seems to be quicker and easier than a regular twist out with the same outcome! I have to try this one of these days, but I need to pratice on the flat twists.

  • Yea, I need to practice & perfect my flat twists.

  • Word?! Cool. I'm about to wash my hair now and give it a try. I hope I'm not up to late, LOL. Thanks for getting back to me. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • That is so darn cute!! I need to learn how to do flat twist.

  • It's real easy once you get the hang of it... This was only my second time doing flat twists on my hair, and I just did a more recent Flat Twistout "BIG HAIR" vid, and got even better with the twist while twisting method and got even better results.

  • can you make a list of the product you use.I am think serious about going Natural .I need advice from what to do first a -z!

  • How about you start with viewing my hair products video, and remember these 4 letters HMCN: Hydrate (Water), Moisturize (Moisturizer), Condition (Conditioner), Nourish (Oils)... Incorporate these 4 letters in your daily hair care routine and you'll be on your way to healthy-looking, moist (non-dry, non-brittle) natural hair. I just sent you my hair products video in a personal message to you. Having the product list is one thing... Knowing how & when to incorporate the products is another thing.

  • I need more of Jesus. I love that music. Happy valentine's Day. May God bless you and give you peace today. I love your hair.

  • Thank you fam.

  • Very cute!!!I can't wink..it looks all retarded when I try...lol..great vid girl!!!Where did u get those ear rings from?

  • OMG! I've had those earrings for years and years! I honestly don't remember where I got them from. Sorry boo... and you can't wink!... lol. :-)

  • i just love this video. everything about it!

  • Thank you Darling.

  • love it

  • Thank you girl

  • love it, LOVE IT. I'm all into the twist/braids and twist's outs. they're so cute and it's so much healtier than my blow drying. You look fab!

  • Yea, I agree. I can't remember the last time I blowdried my hair. I scared to put any heat in it cuz last time I blowdried and flat ironed my hair, I damaged the ends severely. I can give advice about natural hair care but I def cannot give advice on heat styling.

  • Thanks Girl... The 2 songs that are playing are by Dave Hollister... "Striving" and "More of You".

  • that was nice. that was the ultimate twist out. dont change a thing

  • Oh word!... Thanks! I did it again last night but I haven't taken them out yet.

  • very cute. have you ever tried a side part. gives it a little jazz to it. :)

  • Thanks, and yes I have tried a side part but only with my wash/wet & go styles, not the twistout. I'm singing at a CD Release party tomorrow night and I want to wear the flat twist twistout style again but with no parts... gonna wear it to the side with a side bang (if you can picture it).
