I read Juarez in 2010 had more local police/federal police/military murdered than Los Angeles has had since the LAPD were founded about 100 years ago. Juarez had more than 100 members of LE murded in 1 year... LAPD has only had 90 something murdered in its entire history. Thats sad as fuck.

No, they're not of the Mexican military; however, they are the equivalent of what's known in the US as SWAT team in much larger numbers. The PF agents are generally heavily armed with fully automatic weapons and have an intensive training. the chances of being corrupt is null because one of the requirementens to get into the PF is never been member of any police organization in Mexico before. watch a documentary about it, you may find it interesting,its on youtube.
