Last time my cat got into the catnip he snorted it up then ran around the house for 2 minutes then pounced at me while running and started scratching and biting me like a maniac (something he never does), then he went to then side of my bed looking at a wall one foot away from him in amazement.. Looked closer.. Then went into pouncing mode, shook his ass a little then pounced full power at the wall face first and slammed to the ground. Crazy cats

My cat died after I gave him catnip. I have never gotten over it. If your animal has anything even lightly wrong with kidneys or any internal function you aren't aware of this can take them over the edge. Needless to say, I'm NOT a catnip fan.

I had my cat on a cat post wen i gave her her first taste of catnip, so she was eye level with me. Wen she ate it she slowly looked up at me and her eyes were the size of a small golf ball that you can get at a dollar tree. I knew i should have moved but i didnt so a few seconds late my cat lunged at my face. For ten minuets i was trying to get her to stop doing repeat attacks and trying to stop her from chasing me around my room

Technically cats cant overdose on catnip. They know when they have eaten enough and will not eat any more. This is still friggin hilarious!

Actually they can surprisingly. If they have too much it actually messes with their brain, blood flow and organs. They can experience bad "trips" off it, similar to the hallucinations humans get from drugs. It can also really affect their stomachs negatively, causing them to feel sick or vomit. Pretty strange stuff...

its cheaper to go out and buy a catnip plant. you get free catnip, it comes back every year [no matter how hard you try to kill it] and my cat likes fresh catnip enstead of the store bought stuff. you dont even have to dry it out, but its easier to put on scratch boxes if it is dried out. a few leaves will work for him, my cat can take one and she doesnt get to high. but ya, cute cat dude!
