  • SO beautiful!! When I was first learning this song, Kiri Te Kanawa's version is the one I used as my guide. It's definitely the best I've heard!

  • Very subtle and tender performance. I do like this, and think it fit's the context of the song very well.

  • I realy like this piece (and I am currenly working on it) and I really like the dynamic work and facial expression she puts into it. Also I just enjoy this piece by Schumann.

  • I am currently singing this piece and although I do love Kiri, I think that she takes it just a touch too slow. Such a gorgeous art song by Schumann however.

  • Heinrich Heine wrote that poem.... It was written for Therese Heine. I just found out that Schumann composed the music to it later.

  • I love her. So much.

  • i am in love her her voice. there is just something about it that is very tender yet completely robust at the same time.

couldn't have picked a better song.

  • What a lovely song! It's amazing, it's sublime!

  • Who is the soprano? It does not look like Kiri Te Kanawa. I saw her in Philadelphia two years ago. When was this video taken?

I adore this song by Schumann.

  • @lydiadugan Absolutely no doubt. This is Kiri's face and her voice also. :)

  • wow!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love her with this genre, it's definitely a forte of hers. Voice is like butter.

  • A dream ,one of Robert Schumann's most beautiful songs.

  • splendida voce morbida e cremosa la giovane te kanawa.... molto poetico richard amner....

  • a gem . . .

  • it sounds better in my tennor lessons but she sings amazingly also

  • sublime.

a good to hear her in her prime

  • Not many soprano can better this for sheer beauty of sound and tone!!! except perhaps..Dame Margaret Price!!!. Then again both are wonderful Mozartians and Straussians. Lacking a little in interpretation perhaps??
