I'm always like this song from the very first day they released this album. Masterpiece! Tak sangka ada anak Melayu yg berani keluar dgn album yg pada saya menepati ciri-ciri lagu berkualiti especially music arrangement and dynamics yg layak utk dimain pada hi-fi saya. What a tune!
someday bila sean gazi ni dah pergi selamanya baru org nak appreciate dia kowt.... he's one of da best lar.... better then those yg masuk kat reality tv tu.... hurm
Memang tak sangka Sean boleh menyanyi sebaik ini..lebih kenal dia berlakon je...dengar cerita ni album ni di terbitkan di australia. Patut la music arranggement dah macam album jazz international. 5 stars!
@abangsarawak1980 woah3 there... do understand, malaysian (malay) listeners r like ants, they'll only worship songs tht r 'sweet' to them. in easier terms; blind entertainment. songs tht have rich meaning like our buddy mr. ghazi here r treated as a yawn.... sad really coz i love songs tht sounds good & have rich meanings in it but all i get here in the great M'sia r just blind entertainment... :-( no offense there malay ppl~~~
if u were to observe, the mindset of the local music fans tend to lean towards "jiwang" genre, recycled & monotonous... the local industry is accusing us of supporting the indonesian music scene... wake up & look at our neighbours... their music evolved to go with the times with lyrics that tend to touch on a wide array of topics, not recycling the same "cinta/jiwang/curang" subject.... sorry to say, most of the people in the local music industry are so full of themselves (syok sendiri)....
@vin4planet bkan lagu je, filem pon 2x5 je. tak abis2 ngan lawak bodoh dan crite hantu yg ntah pape. kalo crite hantu best mcm thailand & jepun punye tak pe gak. i think mmg org tmptan kita prefer to stay in their comfort zone kot
@Berrymore84 yup.... comfort zone, that's the word alrite... some of the local produsers (muzik & filem) prefer to stick to "pecah panggung" or "killer komersial albums"formulas for making money, bkan krana fo the sake of upholding the arts... anyway sum of them tend to overdo it by mengaku diri sbagai anak seni when in fact all they do is menciplak idea org asing bulat2... then mengaku sbagai hasil karya sendiri... sape yg tergigit cili, dia yg rsa pedas.... so syok sendiri....
@vin4planet mmg, crite2 bongok camtu hanye sehsuai utk org2 yg sama tahap dgnnye. kalo xnak berubah smpai bile2 pon otak xkan berkembang. what a disgrace
i found the lyrics so everyone can sing along: "Semalam" by Sean Ghazi semalam hanya semalam kenangan memangil-manggil pulanglah sayang padaku ku ingin mengubah hati yang rindu semasa dulu kau bilang kita yang masih percaya betapa indah bercinta ku tanya mengapa perginya dia
I think this may have been inspired by P Ramlee the Musical.. it's similar to the opening montage of the musical... the silhouette montage if you know what I mean. Like the concept :)
hey this guy sounds fantastic it's about time this kind of music is coming back.thank's for putting it on youtube,as i wouldn't have heard it.especially from some one in australia and being orang malayu
yeah, i agree xzulx (from another orang melayu in sydney!).. his voice is fabulous and what i'd call "everlasting" and "timeless".. he has talent and look and persona, i hope he remains on the scene for a long time and that everyone should support him..
Semlm hanya semlm, Kenangan memanggil2, Pulanglah syg pd ku, Ku ingin m`ubat hati yg rindu, Semasa dulu 'pabila, Kita yg masih p`caya, Betapa indah b`cinta, Ku tanya, M`gapa perginya dia?, Hilang tetapi bagaimana?, Tinggal harapan yg m`bara, Ku doa agarkan lagu,
M`yusuk jiwa mu, Di sebalik mentari pagi, Pasti kan kembali, Izinkan ku m`yanyikan lagu ini, Sudikah engkau menanti, Marilah kita menari,
owh shiyt, i tot sean ghazi has got to do with sean kingston. but ghazi is a malaysian. daym! i never liked local artists n d local scenes so much tho, but his voice is kewl. try the song "lets never stop falling in love". chayok chayok!
I saw Sean Ghazi performed this song for the first time at the Toyota's Classic a few weeks ago. He was great!! He also did a marvellous rendition of I Have Dreamed from the King & I. And P. Ramlee's Getaran Jiwa - in a jazzy way! Love your performance, Sean!
sean was from singapore????how come i didn't noe tt? my fellow singaporean! i want to watch P ramlee the musical but i cant get the tickets. help help, sean!!
very "michael buble-ish"....but it offers something diff in the asian music scene, esp in the malay songs/music category. Anyway...nice vid..keep up the good work Sean!

I don't think he should be known as Michael Buble Malaysia. He deserves to be Sean Ghazi, a wholesome name on its own.

pastikan kembali
izinkan ku menyanyikan lagu ini
