    grande Jimi e Steve ray.

  • RIP SRV... MIss you!!!

  • haha i loved this song when i was a kidd .

  • in elemetary our drama teacher would have our class do warm ups to this song

  • guy at 3:02 looks like he's having a sweet acid trip

  • Really good song.

  • What an awesome song.

This video does go really well with it.

  • Didn't Blues Artists Gary Moore just pass from us this past weekend? Another one lost from our midst.

  • God bless you SRV. A day never goes by when I don't listen to your music, or play your songs on the old Fender. "This world was a better place just to see you born"

    So sorely missed.

  • if he wouldnt have got on that damn plane he would have been here right now

  • Don't think the Vid worked out with this song. Nice try though.:):):)

  • Great mashup! SRV is my fave, and when you add Jimmy (and Jimi) to the mix, you can't lose. Good job, man...

  • what a great song !!

  • love ya jimmy Wanna see a tribute to your bro you both blow me away

  • great song by 2 of my favorite gutairist rich m mondovi wi

  • I saw SRV in San Antonio a few months before he pasted..one of my most treasured memories! miss ya dude RIP

  • RIP SRV - Does anyone actually recall the footage of Hendrix at Woodstock - in particular the shots from the stage showing how few of the crowd bothered to hang around to see him? I remember it as a brilliant performance from the Woodstock double album. When I watched the footage for the first time again since being quite a youngster, the Hendrix footage almost made me weep. They tried to keep the camer angle tight to limit showing how few were there. JH & SRV - Just tragic

  • @DrBlahaha To be fair, it was because of the really crappy weather and field conditions. Plus, as Jimi was the headliner, he was pushed back to the last slot at like 9 in the morning. He could have waited until night time but Jimi was too nice and went on anyway completely exhausted. What a performance though.

  • Rest In Peace Stevie.

  • omfg compare John Mayers "waiting on the world to change" to this song, John mayer has copied so many of SRV's styles, i know he's his influence.. but thats just too much.

  • SRV ROCKS FOREVER !!!!

  • SRV ROCKS FOREVER !!!!

  • Let this one hit ' the Heart ' !

  • one of my favorite songs ever

  • This is one of the finest songs ever written. Listen to the words. It explains everything! It tears me up. Love it.

  • I love the message of this song. We all definitly need to get on the same 'wave length' and help each other out. The problems of the world, such as starvation, disease, famine, etc, need to be eliminated. I know it is an extremely hard task, but look at all of the progress man kind has made. Why is it so hard to ask for cooperation? We have made so much progress in our history. Why not do something for the major problems we face? The new generation needs to pave the way for the future.

  • one of the coolest songs for the vaughn brothers, a crowd favorite.

  • Excellent!

  • I remember the first time I heard this song. and I was in the psyche ward. tic tock people...

  • john mayer ripped off this song for his own song

  • what year is that on the video? looks like late 60s

  • nevermind, i saw the date, 1969.

  • this is the song i requested at my funeral a good last song request if i may say

  • Very matching... If I may say so myself...

  • I was 16 yrs old on the stage singing with u and i was so happy to have known u and u got me to go on tour- The taste of the northshore summer party winter island park Salem Willows so long ago!! When I listen to this song I can't believe 2 months after u and your brother did this song to the day u past away! Still listen to your music until I die i owe my singing life to you and the guys later peace out!!!

  • This song is one of the all time greats.

    It really says it all.

    We miss you Stevie.

I feel extremely lucky to have lived on this earth with you at the same times. Seeing and hearing you changed me forever.

  • Stevie Ray will always be the man!!! Miss him big time.

  • could've done without the dirty naked hippies though

  • it indeed does match very well! cool vid midland88!

  • Somebody said that when people do what they want, you get Woodstock. When the government does what it wants, you get Auschwitz.

  • jimmyjoe.. i think i luv u.. that is the smartest thing i have ever seen somebody say on youtube

  • Well, I actually got it from a blogger (can't remember which one) at Lew Rockwell's blog.

  • So make sure people control governments instead of the other way round ...

  • It does not work that way. Or hasn't in the history of man.

  • haha. So true.

  • 2:35 Gary Moore

  • haha maybe?

  • donavan

  • @midland88 gary moore...for sure!!

  • @gwmajor4

You really think so? I didn't think he was at Woodstock, also his guitar strap is backwards from where he usually wears it (video= left handed and he's actually a righty).

  • that wasn't gary moore

  • Comment removed

  • dont worry he is a retard

  • @daslatrobe people say john mayer has no talent and he steals his stuff from SRV, but who you think SRV got it from? Jimi Hendrix, and who did Jimi get it from? Elmore James, and who did he get it from? who knows? robert johnson maybe, it seams he the root of it all

  • hahah nice job :p John Mayer is big now, SRV died in 1990.. that's like nearly 20 years ago. How can Stevie be a rip off on John Mayer when John mayer was 13 years when Stevie died? hurray for you!

  • the most important thing about life, time, tick tock tick tock ppl

  • o adoro Stevie, ma questo è proprio un neccio!

  • The words of this song are profound and have world wide meaning. IMO - I don't think the Woodstock video goes well, at all.

  • This song is a good reminder of our mortality, and done by a legend beautifully. Hi up there Stevie Ray. Thanks man.

  • If I ran for president I would seriously consider this as a campaign song

  • EXACTLY what I said Obama should have used!

  • I wish I could play the guitar like that...

  • :) świetny kawałek :)

  • Great idea midland8,

I went to see SRV at his last concert in Michigan (Pine Knob) and this song reminds me of that . The three notes on the solo at 2:53 are the three prettiest notes ever played.

  • This is a simply very beautiful song. Words and music just seem to go so perfect together. I can listen to this over and over and never get tired of it. His solo is just PERFECT and in the right place at the right time................Nothing fancy, just simple and correct.

  • Ci manchi stevie ray.............solo genoa

  • I wish he was still alive. He died 11 months before I was born but his music still inspires me to play my guitar.

  • i understand how you feel. I'm old, but in spite of that... I love the guitar more each day.

  • "Let people do what they want and you get Woodstock, let governments do what they want, and you get Auschwitz." Doug Newman

  • @freemarketeer67 I'm impressed- that is wise

  • @freemarketeer67

"Let markets do what they want and you get chaos, pollution, starvation and a few fat cats who preach the wonders of free markets."

    H.I. Story

  • Hey, can anybody upload the video of this song from the tribute to SRV DVD?

Look close at the woodstock vid and you will see my sister watching Hendrix ! Yea, there she is...the girl with the blond hair. We should make Jimi's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner the official version. If elected, I WILL make this an executive order. My name is JB and I approve of this message...even if you don't. • This if one of my fav SRV songs! How amazing is it that this song, after its release 18 years ago, is so appropriate for the times we, as a nation, are going through now. RIP Stevie. Your music still touches us today.

"One night while sleeping in my bed

    I had a beautiful dream

That all the people of the world got together

    On the same wavelength

    And began helping one another

Now in this dream universal love

was the theme of the day

Peace and understanding and it happened this way..."

  • What a brilliant song - and vid. The combination is lovely.

  • very impressiv idea -

  • Great song! Cool idea meshing this song with the Woodstock footage. It rings so true on so many levels.

  • It's such a beautiful thing not having to read comments like "blabla is a better guitar player than blabla"...It makes me happy to only read comments of people that tell how much they love this song, and what memories they connect with the song...It's a beautiful piece of music that should be shared with everybody, because it's got something really peaceful and happy, it makes me hope that our world will become a more peaceful and friendly place to be, so let's all help together to make it true.

  • so simple so true thx

  • I'm a huge SRV fan, and this is one of my favorite songs of all time. Plus, the original video to this song is available on Yahoo videos under the "Vaughan Brothers". RIP Stevie Ray - you are still deeply missed!!
