Yeah, the idea is simple. However, contrary to most time slicing videos the transformation is calculated directly onto the 3D mesh and then rendered. The engine is not restricted to line-by-line shifts or pixels, any time slicing rule can be defined mathematically in 3D space. The motion source is a motion capture performance.
