I rode these roads week before labor day 2010, and they were deserted. Took the cbr in a van from CT to Forge Royal, then Shenendoah valley to blueridge, ashville. Stayed in Robinsville for moonshiner 28, smoky mountains, foothills parkway, and cherohala. Loved it. No traffic...I rode at dawn, wouldn't see a car or bike for until 9am, and cannot figure out why people worry about traffic. Thanks for the pics...I know many of those corners & signposts!

Some friends and I were down there this past labor day weekend. We found to have like the Cherohala Skyway more due to the fact the traffic was not nearly as heavy. But over all the roads were smooth, and not a lot of gravel in the corners. Which led to more enjoyable riding for all of us

Nice! I was there with omaha919, I rode my FZ1 from Colorado. Great trip, the dragon is a very unique road! The fog over the skyway was terrible at times, I see you got a couple shots of that too. check out moto-rush . com sometime,
