  • manasu nilpa sakti..

this was composed by dhenuvakonda subbarao.ongole..i am so happy..

  • thanks to vintage audio....

  • he really left the scene too early....at an age of 52....

hats off to the great musician !!!

  • being an ardent lover of both, north & south indian styles, i think Dr. Chitti Babu was the finest S.Veena player of the century....not matched by his contemporaries or even the younger guys of my generation.

his 'Raaga approach' to south indian music as opposed to the standard krithi-approach is worth appreciating.

Being young, I have not been fortunate to listen to all his repertoire but whatever i have listened, is just awesome.

he has exactly understood the possibilities of the instrument ..

  • Thanks for upload vintageaudio. He is indeed very soft and beautifull touch as described.

  • Vyenika Sri Chittibabu's recitals, I have listened face to face during the 1970s. His veena rendering is smooth allways, as different from vyenika Balachandar, or Vyenika RK Suryanarayana. I think he is the student of Vyenika Emani Shankarasastry. Sri Chittababu was very famous during 1960,s 1970s, 1980s. We used to request the AIR bangalore to broadcast his veena. Thanks for posting this.

  • Real player says this is the closest match to my music
