  • If you are familiar with how Tibetan lamas conduct blessings, that is usually the way they throw rice grains as a gesture of blessings. Hence His Holiness was not simply thoring snow playfully, but was actually blessing those who gathered there. How lucky!

    I think it's far more likely he was being playful. After reading many of his books I'm far more inclined to think he was just being silly. He's awesome!
