  • Hi Thank you for your comment. Amsoil is synthetic and if you live in the states you can

google to find a supplier. Synthetic oil is good but must warn you it leave black gobs of

burnt oil on the bottom of the airframe. I ran a gallon through but went back to the regular 2 cycle oil.

  • I've seen a guy on here who calls himself Dr. Tune, convert weed eater, leaf blower, chainsaw, and other small gas engines for RC plane use. He says he uses Aims oil and 93 octane gas. What is Aims oil (i think I may have spelled that wrong), and where do I get it?

  • ok but how i can do it if i can figure it out

  • Where do i buy the prop washer and andapter kit for the prop?

  • @davonizdashit Hi, I robbed it off of a Zenoah G-38. On the larger engines I had a neighbor make me some with his laith.

    Thanks for watching, Good luck,

    Jim

  • how big a plane with something like this fly?

  • qsecgtyhd, Hi, I had this engine after converting it to EI on the Extreme Flight Yak-54. I got 16 lbs thrust with a Vess 22A propellor. The plane weighed 14 lbs and had unlimited virtical.

  • Clutch? There is no clutch.

  • why the clutch?

  • Chainsaw engines need a mixed gas/oil. That is why it smokes. You can use a synthetic oil which will burn clean. The engines I have on video were freshly converted and had extra oil in the crank and combustion chamber.

  • how do you keep it from smoking?

  • scared of the smoke?
