They're booing b/c during the previous panel, that announcer guy, a dude from Access Hollywood, was mean to a fan who had been getting up to ask questions. The fan was foreign, was doing his best, but the guy said to him, "try asking a better question next time," or something to that effect, basically criticizing the fan. Well the crowd didn't like that (I didn't like it) and he got booed big time. So when he came out for this panel, he got blasted big-time. What a TOTAL ASS. He deserved it.

I was there too. It is damn near impossible to record any studio footage at Comic Con. Just take our word for it you little 12 year old shitheads. I saw a dude point his camera at the screen, and a staff member ran to him in about a second. But yeah, the trailer kicked ass...especially the band Tool being used right in a movie trailer.

People who say you should have recorded need to STFU. I was there. I saw a women escorted out because she wouldn't turn off her camera and two others harassed by security until they shut off their cameras. It's easy to say someone is a pansy but unless you were there it means nothing. They would confiscate and erase everything if you didn't put your camera away, and there was tons of security. One guy who I thought was doing a decent job of hiding even got caught within 30 seconds.

Not so sure why it's so hard for everyone to understand: security patrols every section with night-vision capabilities to ensure no one records footage, and if it's posted online, Marvel quickly removes it.

No, I do not. Security stands over each section and removes anyone from the room if they record the footage, and watches them delete it. Way too risky if you wait all day to get in.

Glad the footage of this made it out of the room. I was a photojournalist in college ... any footage you shoot or photos you take are YOUR property. Security can't legally force you to delete anything, and they can't legally take your camera. They can only kick you out if you're caught.

Furthermore, Marvel can write all the letters they want, but they do not own this video any more than they own the building you were standing in.

Oh, and if they detain you against your will, it's kidnapping. These are federal photography laws that apply to everybody, not just journalists. Don't ever take it in the ass from some dick in a fake "security" badge, man. You have rights, even as a civilian photographer.

You are partially right, but are only correct about footage taken in a public setting as far as property is concerned. The laws about what qualifies as real and intellectual property is different at private events, and it gets even more complex for movies. I've taken law and journo classes, too.

And security CAN detain you if you have done something illegal, and piracy is absolutely illegal. 5th Amendment rights only apply if you are not informed of the law by the police (abundant at the Con)

A) It's pretty impossible to record footage with the level of security and...

B) Even if you do, Marvel is watching over these things like a hawk and will have it removed immediately. I already got a notice that Marvel owns this video even though I shot and posted it. Imagine if the footage went up. Off in 30 seconds, easy.

C) This all stems from a central whine that we saw it and you didn't. ;)
