They call it "Nine In the AfterNoon" because when they were just starting to come up with some of the lyrics and guitar bass and drums, they were practicing in a window-less room and I think it was Spencer said "It feels like it's 7 in the afternoon". So then Brendon (being the retard we all are inside) shouted "NINE IN THE AFTER NOON!" And thus, the song was born.
