I could careless what anybody do to an animal, ass long as they eat it. 99% of the time I shoot or kill something whether it's hammer to the head, boxed fun, dog attacks, neck breaking, moving target etc...1% is from self defense, and i still will eat that too. See we asians have a bad rep on shooting or harvesting over the limit or protected species, but we atleast eat our sports, boy do we eat, we use everything on the animal! pigeons are the best soups! The animals are happy to die with us.

Hunting also provides the chance to stalk an animal, take it down, and enjoy chemical-free, naturely-raised, meals. I don't quite understand how hunting is abuse...? Cheetahs have the right to kill and eat antelope why don't' we have the right to kill and eat pigeons? [Do they eat pigeons? If they don't then yes, I would agree the hunting is unneeded but if they put the pigeons to good use then I wouldn't say it's abuse. Also, if they're good hunters and give it a quick death.]

Hunting also provides the chance to stalk an animal, take it down, and enjoy chemical-free, naturely-raised, meals. I'm not sure why you think 'hunting is restricted to those living in the Middle Ages', because meat is meat, no matter where you get it, even if you have to go get it yourself.

Hunters are all the same. I met hunters a couple of days ago who were claiming the same thing. They were with twenty hunters and shot ONE pigeon. Because it would ruin the land. I can only assume you leave lots of food out, you do know that attracts all kinds of wildlife? In our little world, livestock feed is either covered, or stored. No pigeon problems. The guy comments about how pigeons are damaging property. And to an extent, he is right. However that doesn't excuse these boxed shoots. There are a lot of more humane ways to deal with pigeon populations that are damaging property than to fling them out of a box to maybe if they are lucky get shot down and killed. But as usual, this guy is horse's ass when it comes to animals and how they are treated.
