Do you guys think it would be possible for him trying purely classical tunes, like Bach? It might bring him fresh air and a bit of history escape, in the sence that gypsy/Django - not leading to - but refeering to illness? Or is he to much "that gypsy kid"?

Almost every jazz musician improvises. Even if you are limiting to guitarists, there are too many to name who can improvise, from jazz to metal to flamenco to blues.

They may not be as good as Jimmy (which is subjective) but they certainly improvise.

Really amazing, but can't rate him as #1. It's all relative but,Phil Keaggy was playing this way since the Beatles turned down his "introspective style" to use a more modern "popular culture" style. Keaggy has played more live shows then any one of the Beatles, Jonny Lennon and/or Big Paul combined. The only guitarist that comes close to Keaggy's numbers is Jim "Reverend Horton" Heath. Discriminatie komt voor een groot deel voort uit onwetendheid. Ik kies er voor om deze mensen niet uit te schelden voor "Losers" maar wil ze graag vertellen wat mijn ervaringen zijn met Sinti zigeuners. Ik ken verschillende Sinti families al 27 jaar en ik hou heel erg veel van deze mensen. Ze zijn altijd erg hartelijk en lief voor mij en ik ben er altijd welkom.

Jamaimma--Nee, ik scheer normaal niet alles over een kam maar als je reageerd in een youtube forum klinkt het allemaal zo kortzichtig. Mijn reactie was dus gebaseerd op de documentaire, en Jimmy zei dus steeds dat hij allemaal niet zo tegen die drukte en wanorde kan in de Gypsy Camp waar hij vroeger woonde. Hier in Amerika bestaan er, volgens mij, geen Zigeuner Camps, maar als men het woord Gypsy hoord dan hebben ze inderdaad al een vooroordeel wat hun cultuur betreft...jammer.
