Manual is ALWAYS more fun than some stupid ass boring DSG or flappy paddle thingy. The feeling of workin the gears yourself with a tight gearbox is great. You feel like your in control. Maybe not as fast shifting as a automatic, but I'd prefer manual anyday, except when your'r in a trafic jam

I have sworn by manuals all my life, never owned an auto until now. No matter how smart an auto is there will always be a time where the box will select the gear that you dont want, it maybe just for a couple of tenths but it does happen.

However I am wrapped with my GTI DSG, you cant argue with picking up 7 tenths in acceleration over 400m :D and the perfect throttle blipping and bark out of the exhaust between shifts brings such character!

DSG and S-tronic will always beat a human in shifting ..... they are great little tranny's, the only problem is most guys still like to shift through the gears with a clutch

@vdubjetta02 the efficiency of the DSG gearboxes is around 0,86. Old auto transmissions had around 0,8. But manual boxes have around 0,94. So you are wrong! Driven more than 5 Cars with DSG and some same versions without i know what I´m talking about

I think you're referring to DSG and similar cars, which are still not automatic, as they still require initiation of paddles to change gears. Automatics are not faster than manuals, this has already been proven time and time again, it can go either way depending on the car. Automatics are more consistent when it comes to drag racing, which only matters if you're a bracket racer and need to hit a set time to win your race.

I think its because the production line for the old rs4 and the new rs6 were the same. But now they have so many rs models announced(ttrs,rs5, rs6,next rs4) that its highly doubtable that they'll make one at the time.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too (lot of speculation about the RS5). Quattro GmbH produce some amazing cars, unlike BMW's M division and Mercedes AMG- their four-wheel-drive, there are exceptions such as the M63, but i don't fully understand the point of a fast SUV anyways.

I can really relate this car to the mercedes SL. Although both are different cars and in different classes, they both have a similar past. The first generation audi TT and the previous generation merc SL was a woman's choice despite having a beast under the bonnet and now both this new TT and the new mercedes SL has the styling cues and the balls fit for men and that's why I'm beginning to like this audi TT RS.

In Mopars I really like the a-bodies. They are a unibody construction and since they were the "compacts" of the day (still bigger then the two mid-size Volvos my family owns) they can really fly if they have a big block in them. As for me our 73 dart only has a /6 but is getting a new 2bbl carb + manifold and a rotary compressor so it won't rob nearly as much power as the old piston style compressors.
