Made this last night for my hubby, kido and myself. We were so full, it was so delicious, only thing I'm gonna do a little different next time I make it, is add a little seasoning. So simple to make. Love the show also. U guys have a lot of great ideas at cheap prices. Its great for people on a budget.

@amoonh545 500+ calories per pot pie. I think it depends on the type of turkey meat you use.

@amoonh545 This is certainly not the leanest meal, but it is a great way to use leftovers, and making the base with mashed potatoes instead of a heavy butter and cream roux makes it a little lighter than your average pot pie.

I don't like pot pies because all the ones I've eaten had a soggy bottom crust...but yours like great!

@aglanceatmyworld Thanks! That's part of why we made the base from mashed potatoes instead of a roux...this holds together really well and the bottom stays nice and flaky.

I want to have thanksgiving again, just so I can do this LOL!

I've taken left overs like this - minus the mashed potatoes - and cooked up some pasta - then mixed them all together with some cheese and several eggs (depending on the amount of left overs) - then in a large skillet cook them from the bottom up - then into the oven to cook from the bottom down!
