i agree with others, with a young colt you shouldnt do that, but i think you know that and i read your comments saying that hes 10 years old. so im sure you know she horse enough. he can bronc tho! and hes beautiful! and for willow0409, horses naturally run and buck, the horse can go threw the fence without a saddle and with a saddle, theres no difference.
ok first things first, you are a retard. learn about horses before you even bother having one. You could have killed your horse just then. He could have tripped, ran into one of those trees, panicked and ran through the fencing etc. One of my horses got a scare and she's an old mare and its rare for her to panic, but when she did, she smashed her skull against a tree. That could of been your horse. Get rid of all those things that could help him and good luck for the future.
also you cant predict what your horse is going to do
he could have run into something like that post there if he got tierd enough.
You need to take advice and not be so offended when people are telling you stuff
this is coming from over 18 years of riding and training with the pros and riding over 100 different horses goes as temperments to. but beautiful horse.
okay people honestly its not a big deal. 1st off, shes probably getting him used to the saddle. 2nd yeah he's in a pasture, but thats better cuz he could hurt himself more in a round pen than a pasture. 3rd yeah there's trees, but she's there in case he gets stuck. She's not being ignorant, just the people watching. You guys don't even know her horse so you don't know what he's exactly doing. Don't accuse people if you don't know your facts. Thanks :)
this is ignorant ive trained horses for lance griffin jody galyean james payne and many more and you dont know wat you doin.. this looks like a really good way to get a horse hurt and i ride saddle bonc and i could cover this horse with no hands he isnt even hardly buckin and he sure as heck aint a barrel horse so you just keep magaul or however you spell his name out there... and you hush your mouth suzy lmao greatness
for one thing, you have the flank cinch too damn tight, for another , it looks like he has a buddy that you must have taken out to get him going.. and the other poster is right , its a death trap where you have him, and it doesnt impress anyone
The only thing I have to say is this. I think you are encouraging your horse to buck by doing this. I may be wrong but I have trained quite a few horses in my life and encouraging the horse to buck is just kind of well stupid to be honest. If you cannot get your horse to respect you on the ground how do you expect he will respect you when you ride him. Or do you use super glue on your saddle to hold yourself in??
to all you haters, no, maybe it wasnt the safest thing... but did you ever consider that she might not have an arena to do this in, and it seemed to be his pasture so he probably knew it like the back of his hand... so to speak. At least it WAS enclosed and it wasn't out on some huge land plot... give her a break, its HER horse.
@orlndblmsug "Her horse" that she may want to sell down the road and become someone elses disaster due to the fact the horse never was given a good start with training!
I've read a lot of the comments on this and you need to realise your mistake. Don't just mouth off to people when they are trying to make you see that you could seriously damage your horse. They are trying to help.
That is extremely dangerous, for you and your horse. Nexy time you should put him in a round pen and lounge him. Also the barking dog really just makes it worse..the dog should be tired up or inside the house while your working with a green horse. And as i seen in the comments below you think everyone is wrong. which some are but really you should be alittle smarter then this..seriously.
um you guys? people teach horses differently, so this method could suit this horse. And i think hes just gettin used to the feel of the saddle, and with him more tired he could be easier to work with... we dont know so we cant judge. and i think that hes a beautifull horse ;)
The horse is obviously comforable in his surroundings. He just doesnt like the saddle. He knows the owner and the paddock so therefore will not hurt himself! You people all need to get a life. And to put a lead rope or lungeline on a bucking horse is NOT a good idea, they could definately hurt themselves then!!!
WTF, people, she quite obviously knows what she is doing more than you would. I bet that half of you who commented dont even have a horse. And you dare call HER ignorant? If you wanna see an ignorant person, look in the damn mirror!

jesus that horse is going to hurt himself! its fine to let them run around but don't put a saddle on him where he can get his feet stuck in the saddle!!! If he is scared thats not the way to get it out of him. I am a horse trainer and a vet so don't think i don't know what I am talking about

Dont you DARE talk about Ignorant people, you cant even spell yourself. Now I know your probably some little smart ass kid, but seriously, stay off my video because YOU dont know WTF YOUR talking about.
@xxxRodeoluverxxx Put well. :) This made me laugh hard. Good Job. I think you know exactly what you're doin, as he's running smooth by the end of it. If it was dangerous I'm sure wouldn't have been doing it. I'm working with a grulla quarter filly that reminds me a bit of this video. Awesome looking horse. He looks fantastic. :)
Also, never a good idea to turn them loose with the saddle on. A stirrup could have ended up hung on a fence post or in the wire, damaging your saddle and really terrorizing the horse so that he would have some serious future issues with the saddle. Whole thing is not cute at all.
Good way to end up in a vets office or a hospital. This should be labled "Dont try this at home". Wire fences, excited horse, barking dog, human shouting at the dog that should have been kenneled before the horse was groomed....not too many wise horsemen would think this is cute.
Worse to display such foolishness in a place where people who do not know better can praise such risky business.
If you want to teach your horse to buck under saddle this is how you would do it.
o COME ON! horses are not stupid animals, they no better ten to run into a fence if there USED to barbed wire, no barbed wire is not GREAT for horses but you gotta do what you gotta do, the horse is obviously green and just getting used to the saddle, as for the dog, its good for horses to get used to animals running around there feet, my horses LOVE my animals, dogs and cats alike! so just stop judging people! GOSH!
You dont know the horse, you dont know the handler. It could be a young horse recently being started under saddle, or a retrain project, or maybe he's just exciteable, letting a horse get its energy out under saddle before you ride it, doesnt teach the horse that its supposed to buck with a rider. The horse is just having fun, And wire fencing is a very widely used fencing material.
@gmwwc Agreed. A horse who is panicked (like a horse who is bucking) will run through a wire fence like it's not even there, even if they are used to it. Ridden horses all my life and been training them for more than 10 years. The whole purpose of training is trying to KEEP them from bucking. Many times once a young horse figures out they can buck under saddle, that makes riding them so much harder.
Horses don't need to "figure out" they can buck under saddle. They all learn to kick up their heels as foals. I don't know of any way (short of tying its legs togther) to convince a horse that it CAN'T buck. An excited horse WILL buck if it fells so inclined no matter what is on it's back.
I'm pretty sure that was his pasture and im also pretty sure she wasn't working him, just letting him get his energy out before she got on so he wasnt doing that with her on him!
fi hes just gettin used to the saddle it dont matter. dont get your big girl panites in a bunch. its not your horse. so dont worry bout her methods of training.
Okay.... it is NOT mean for this. He's getting used to the saddle it looks like... that's how they react when they're getting used to everything like that... hmm...
Great Job! I Love The Horse! its good for a horse to buck i wish my horse would buck like that. its good for them to get it all out! Great Great Great Job! And stormmagic is wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!! you did a great great job!!!
ok stormmagic is wrong!! WRONG WRONG WRONG!! u did great! :) asking him to keep going was the right thing! so he gets every buck out! cuz that means, he tested it and lost and probably wont try it again....unless hes a goofball :P lols great job! and ya that dogs freakin halarious!!! XD
hey beautiful horse!!! gotta love a buckskin. if i might suggest it...you should try loosening the the strap a whole or two cause some horses have a nerve underneath their stomach that makes them more sensitive to touch. :)
And for all you jerks tell her what to do with her horse, well shut the hell up! Your not professionals! She can do what the hell she wants with her horse, okay?
Leg protection? Please. C'mon. Horses lived thousands of years climbing up craggy mountains and dodging trees, WITHOUT our leg protection. Like they REALLY need it now.
and another thing... ur urging him to run.. which makes him think the saddle means tons of work.. that'll make him hate it even more.. you need to show him having a saddle on can be relaxing.. otherwise u'll put it on and everytime he'll start running cuz thats what u taught him..
she needs him to let his energy out, and keeping their legs moving is the best way to do that. if ur suggesting not letting him run when she's NOT on him, when she does get on that horse is gonna explode
ok.. maybe you should have that horse on a lunge line.. what if he gets spooked eoungh and runs right through a fence? either that or use a round pin... i mean that horse could seriously hurt himself if he was scared enough..
hahahahahaha i just got done watching a different one of your videos... i knew they were taped by the same person because of "HEY SUZIE YOU SHUT UP" lmao love it
He's kinda like the pony my mom had when she was little. Pecos was his name. Every time mom would ride him he would scrape her off using tree branches. I wouldn't worry about him running into a tree or cutting his legs. He looks like he's not used to the saddle and maybe he's also having a little fun. Even if he wasn't wearing a saddle, why tie him down and not let him run among the trees and have some play time? Or maybe we should just lock him in a cage so he'll never get hurt.
Are you crazy?! such a nice horse and then you let it run like that without any protection on his legs between al those trees!?!?! He's going to run upon one on some day! Or just galop trough the fence!!! Good luck with it...
Without any protection on its legs? Lmao. They don't need it. They are horses. What do you think they'd be doing if they weren't domesticated. Running through trees. without protection on its legs! Dear lord.
How is this funny? Maybe you should get out of the horse business considering you obviously do NOT know how to train a horse the right way. How many horses have you gotten hurt like this??
wow you just made yourself look like an idiot.... never trained a horse huh... well your eyes will be opened when you do...its called breaking a horse... even if i don't like the area they are using or the fact that the legs are not wraped i'm not gonna insult the trainer or her capabilities....
ill trade you my dappled palomino gelding for your buckskin pleaseeeeee love the "dont hurt yourself cuz im only givin you a bandaid"lol nice bucker too

Horses don't need to "figure out" they can buck under saddle. They all learn to kick up their heels as foals. I don't know of any way (short of tying its legs togther) to convince a horse that it CAN'T buck. An excited horse WILL buck if it fells so inclined no matter what is on it's back.

You have your back cinch kinda tight. It doesnt have to be right up against his body.
Kaylabuday 2 years ago
why are you chasing that horse for your own entertainment. obviously you were trying to get a reaction or you wouldn't have had a camera.
MissMontezz 2 years ago
He's so cute :O has he ever done all of that with u on him?
JamminJemm 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure that was his pasture and im also pretty sure she wasn't working him, just letting him get his energy out before she got on so he wasnt doing that with her on him!
JamminJemm 2 years ago
fi hes just gettin used to the saddle it dont matter. dont get your big girl panites in a bunch. its not your horse. so dont worry bout her methods of training.

iiGoofy 2 years ago
ok stormmagic is wrong!! WRONG WRONG WRONG!! u did great! :) asking him to keep going was the right thing! so he gets every buck out! cuz that means, he tested it and lost and probably wont try it again....unless hes a goofball :P lols great job! and ya that dogs freakin halarious!!! XD
iiHorseFreak 2 years ago
hey beautiful horse!!! gotta love a buckskin. if i might suggest it...you should try loosening the the strap a whole or two cause some horses have a nerve underneath their stomach that makes them more sensitive to touch. :)
MittanyGirl 2 years ago
um.... in my opinion , it's kinda, sorta mean! now, when you get on him, he'll probably buck you offf!!!

i adore ur horse, hes beautifull, where do u live, like the accent!!!
dylanrides123 2 years ago
Leg protection? Please. C'mon. Horses lived thousands of years climbing up craggy mountains and dodging trees, WITHOUT our leg protection. Like they REALLY need it now.

I think its so funny how Suzie the dog always gets in trouble in all your videos!

My goodness, barrel racer is right ;)
If he don't got a fire under his tail lol...
Hes a good lookin boy, makes you wanna test drive that speed..
fishyhelper288 3 years ago
and another thing... ur urging him to run.. which makes him think the saddle means tons of work.. that'll make him hate it even more.. you need to show him having a saddle on can be relaxing.. otherwise u'll put it on and everytime he'll start running cuz thats what u taught him..
stormmagic1992 3 years ago
she needs him to let his energy out, and keeping their legs moving is the best way to do that. if ur suggesting not letting him run when she's NOT on him, when she does get on that horse is gonna explode
gwgallopergirl 2 years ago
ok.. maybe you should have that horse on a lunge line.. what if he gets spooked eoungh and runs right through a fence? either that or use a round pin... i mean that horse could seriously hurt himself if he was scared enough..
stormmagic1992 3 years ago
hahahahahaha i just got done watching a different one of your videos... i knew they were taped by the same person because of "HEY SUZIE YOU SHUT UP" lmao love it

ArgentumHorse 3 years ago
Are you crazy?! such a nice horse and then you let it run like that without any protection on his legs between al those trees!?!?! He's going to run upon one on some day! Or just galop trough the fence!!! Good luck with it...
noetje94 3 years ago
Without any protection on its legs? Lmao. They don't need it. They are horses. What do you think they'd be doing if they weren't domesticated. Running through trees. without protection on its legs! Dear lord.

HEY! >:| Everyone has different ways of training horses ok!!! I think shes doing a great job so shut ur DAMN MOUTH!
1hottbarrelracer 3 years ago
How is this funny? Maybe you should get out of the horse business considering you obviously do NOT know how to train a horse the right way. How many horses have you gotten hurt like this??
paintchick101 3 years ago
wow you just made yourself look like an idiot.... never trained a horse huh... well your eyes will be opened when you do...its called breaking a horse... even if i don't like the area they are using or the fact that the legs are not wraped i'm not gonna insult the trainer or her capabilities....
merukow 3 years ago
thats not funny at all .. :s
