I'm always reminded of Kim Wilde talking about making the video for "Kids In America". She borrowed her mum's jacket to make herself look smart and presentable for the video. It was a more innocent time when videos weren't so hypersexualised and I love that, You wouldn't find that nowadays, more's the pity.

Fantastic pop song , I love the whole aura that TOTP had then that BF could be as free as they wanted to be with their presentation on the show. Jay Aston looks stunning in her dress, how many young men dreamt of taking her down the aisle.

I stayed over at a friends house and went through her young sisters record collection and I revealed that I loved this song. I lost all credibility with my cool 16 - 17 year old friends but I didn't care as I liked this so much.

Bucks Fizz managed to break the trend of previous Eurovision Song Winners and emulate on their initial no. 1 success with 'Making Your Mind Up' in Spring 1981. The two follow-ups to this failed to make the top 10 but this song returned them to no. 1 in early 1982 as did their follow-up 'My Camera Never Lies'. Their success after this was somewhat eratic. They were still releasing singles as late as 1988 but Bobby G recorded the title theme for the BBC Drama 'Big Deal' in 1984.

Blimey, it's a good song by Bucks Fizz, miles better than "Making Your Mind Up" in my opinion, although that was good in a Eurovision kind of way I guess. This is more like white pop/reggae, with the producer monkeying about his first ever drum machine: "hey guys, listen to these amazing drumfills!" But the melody and lyrics shine through and you just can't get the damn song out your head. Johnny Logan would later nick the melody for his own Eurovision entry "Hold Me Now".
