  • I was looking for an HDTV for my 360/TV and I was ready to spring like 600 but this rant made me look up some monitors and I found a nice sized one thats tv ready with hdmi and all for 300, thanks man!

  • Zephyrnix which do you prefer, fried chicken or fried chicken LMAO

  • This is a good vid even though i'am getting my hdtv fixed,i'am in the market for a computer monitor to game on with a pivot screen so i can play my 360 shmups in tate mode great vid man just subbed.

  • i suppose when u say 1080p monitor you mean a monitor that can support 1920X res

  • I play both XBOX and Ps3 on a PC Monitor and the monitor is not a 1080p one

  • umm, let me relook it up and i will seen you a link.

  • People watch Blackbonds' videos? They are so dry.

Zeph get a VGA box to play Wii on a monitor.

If you use DVI on PS3 you can't watch blu rays because the cable doesn't support HDCP (copyright protection) unlike HDMI cables.

  • Wrong...I use DVI to hdmi to watch blurays

  • Blackb0nd sucks

  • my moniter is not 1080p, and my ps3 works fine on it. its 1050.

and btw consules are built for tv so it looks somewhat better on tv. and pc looks better on moniter.

but it good ether way. ^^

  • 50 inch Panasonic 1080P Tv with ps3 is all you need. You will never look back.

  • I guess I have to get a new TV before I get a PS3. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will have to wait even longer.

  • Samsung 32" + 1080p resolution = the best gaming experience ever.

  • sony 55 1080p

    BEST

55 to 60 is the best pic. btw i dont own a sony tv but they look vantastic.

  • Sony makes the best LCD TVS.

  • No, anything bigger than 32" is too big for gaming. They look fantastic, no doubt, and are the best for movies and sports, but as for gaming, it's too big.

  • ps3 is ment to be played on 50+

it looks better on 50 then it dose on 32. iv compared them.

  • lolol "meant to be playing of 50"?

    I don't think so...

  • you fail hambone

  • elaborate

  • No, the 360 works perfectly no matter what resolution you have. The Ps3 is the one that only uses 720p/i or 1080p/i monitors. But to answer your question, it seems both the Ps3 and monitor says 1080p. And So does the Xbox and the monitor.

As for the monitor output for the PS3. ... I'll .. try.

  • can you play an xbox 360 through a laptop to use it as a screen/Monitor

  • same here

  • Yo man cool video. Is it possible to get an xbox 360 to a computer monitor?

  • Anybody know how to fix a PS3 to go back to HDMI? I hooked it up to my TV Tuner with a composite cable, and now the piece of shit won't go back to HDMI... I looked at a few videos none of which work. PS3 needs a HD=SD Switch like the 360 cause this sucks.

On point with the video, I do. I game on HD always. Got a 47" in my room & a 72" in my living room. Only difference I see between the two is a monitor is cheaper. Other then that they pretty much do the same thing.

  • try holding the power button until you hear 2 beeps, assuming you are using the fat ps3.

  • @llM1CHAELll with the PS3 off and hooked up to your TV, press and hold the power button and it will reset the video options.

  • @Biggunz100

Yeah, I tried that about 20 times. I'm not sure it works on the 40GB model. It worked to go to SD, but won't work to go back to HDMI. I don't know why.

  • @llM1CHAELll have you went into the video settings on the XMB and changed it back to HDMI?

go to: settings/display settings/video output settings/HDMI/ and then check 480p/720p/1080i/1080p

  • @Biggunz100

Thanks for the help, but I got it working. My Composite cables weren't working properly. So I never had a clear picture on the TV. That's why I wanted to go back to HDMI. I couldn't do anything because I couldn't see anything on the screen.

What I did was I hooked it up to my other HDTV & it recognized it straight up. Thanks once again for the help though!

  • I had a 1440x900 pc monitor (thats 16:10 but the Xbox [since an old update but not originally]), then a 1680 x 1050 VGA cable works fine for it with Xbox, never used one on a ps3 so I dont know. I got myself for xmas a 1080p HDTV (1920X1080) I can say, depending on how good your TV is, there is a massive difference in image. Mines only a 23" however that makes the image better then a 40" because its still 1920X1080, bigger the TV the more those pixels are stretched.

I may mk a vid bout this m8

  • "(thats 16:10 but the Xbox [since an old update but not originally]), "

Meant to say since then the xbox could support a 16:9 image even on a 16:10 moniter, sepher u should know that you had the same moniter as me at 1 point.

  • 30" dp monitor

  • the input lag is whats keeping me from buying another hdtv. it sucks

  • i recently got a 25.5" hannspree lcd

goes 1080 2 hdmi ports and vga

    works excellent with 360 /ps3

  • What is a nice monitor? Im looking to spend up to 300 bucks. If someone can tell me that would be great.

  • i play on 52 samsungs with surround sound its nice and all but i feel like going for a 24 inch computer monitor with hdmi port

  • ON MY PS3 I AM USING AN HPw1907 AND I BELIEVE THE HIGHEST IT OUTPUT USING MY PS3 IS 720p . I AM USING HDMI TO DVi !

  • LOL. Consider yourself lucky, I have the SAME monitor series and I can't even get my PS3 to hit 720, It just doesn't work.

  • a monitor wont work with ps3's hdmi without HDCP

  • If that IS true, then HDCP much be the started, however, I'm pretty sure that my montior doesn't have HDCP....Then again...

  • 32 inch is good enough for me, i play my wii games on fullscreen mode and my pc with HDMI.

  • well i have 26" full hd monitor with ps3.Picture is great,no distortions or anything

  • title fail

  • well i have read before that you CANT experience true 1080p hd without atleast a 42 inch tv..and these were some real tech sites..not from some blog

  • i game with my ps3 on a monitor all the time also, but it doesn't have to be 1080p, mine only supports 720p and it works great with that... i use a 5 dollar hdmi to dvi cable that i got from ebay and it's been working great for the 2 years i've had it

  • thats a thing i wanted to try out. hook my ps3 up to my monitor. it does 1080p (1920x1080) and it has a HDMI input aswell.. will it work?

  • yup! Should be no problems at all.

  • who is your internet provider? I have Brighthouse and i lost my connection earlier tonight too.

  • Brighthouse too. They're the only people who give internet in my area.

  • Must have been something in BrightHouse's side then because my Internet just kicked off and I had to restart my modeum

  • just get a tv, they dont cost much anymore. the audio i have running optical.

  • can i play a 360 on a laptop?

  • I dont like hooking up my pc 2 my tv. It just doesn't look right.

I like gaming on my HDTV way more then on my monitor.

  • Yes very good advice infact monitors can handle much higher refresh rates and higher reolutions than Full HD TV's. With the PS3 its easy as heck. Hook it up to the monitior with your cables and or converters. turn the console off and then hold the power button in untill it beeps the second time. this automaticaly puts it into display and sound detection mode where you can chose to let the PS3 apply settings automaticaly or for the technicaly minded do it manualy.

  • XD opposite for me i got my computer hooked up to my tv

  • SIXTY NINE!

  • Blackbond blocked me. LOL. someones mad.

  • Yeah your fanboy ass lol

  • @JohnMarksTV,

Did you curse or were you personally attacking/insulting people?

  • All i said was i didn't like his NMH videos and i thought they sucked. Next thing i know, im blocked.
